Not because it bothers anyone, it's because it ruins their friendship. Boys can be good friends and have a conversation longer than a minute without them being romantically attracted to eachother you shallow weirdo.

In the beggining, I genuinely thought Ray had a crush on Norman. He had so much respect for him, saw Norman as an equal, was totally desesperate and determined to save him and gave up living when he died, while Emma was kind of left out from all this Ray's feelings.

For me I see Norman and Ray as two sides to the same coin. Both caring but show it differently. Both selfless but once again show it in differnt ways. One is brooding and dark whilest the other is open and bright. Ray being the tactician in the short term and Norman the strategist in the long term. They are both remarkable brothers and its clear to see they are both forces to be reckoned with

I think Norman is singing as an apology to Ray to the time when Ray was going to sacrifice himself. Norman is blaming himself that he didn't think good plan and made Ray and Emma depressed 😢 the lyrics match so much .
I'm not sure how much of this was planned but the first "I'm the one who put you up there, out in sky does it ever get lonely?" is just so perfectly matched with Ray and Norman moment. Like, it's because of Ray that Norman learned the truth about Gracefield and that's why he is sacraficing himself for the rescue plan. And then Ray is alone, lonely, and just feels so guilty. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it just fits so well to what Ray could say in that moment - it's me that got you killed and you are now lonely in heaven while I'm lonely here.
It's complex like I love their platonic relationship but if one fine Sunday rayman is announced canon, I would cri happy tears and I guess that says a lot.
Im not a shipper in TPN but i feel bad for Ray.He had a strong friendship with Norman, when it was time for him(Norman) to go.Ray tried to act tough.But he cried cause, he didn't want his best friend to go.Which he didn't want to see any last seconds of him going away with that, monster...
