I once paid a similar price for 8 wings, fries (curly Checker's fries from the bag, no less) and a drink, that was served on the standard red-and-white paper boat and plastic cup. I was in South Beach, had seen the business was Black-owned and wanted to patronise Black family. At the time, Interestingly enough, I was working in a restaurant that served the very same thing, in the very same manner, for a fraction of the price; the chicken even tasted the same, but, I suppose, because it was South Beach, the price was jacked up. For what I got at thirty-plus dollars, MINIMALLY, the presentation needs to be of a higher standard from the regular take-out joint on the corner,, if not, I ask myself, "Why eat here, when I could eat there for MUCH less? What's the difference here? The tables are covered with plastic. I'm given plastic utensils. This is literally an overpriced version of that, so what's the point?" Here, in this skit, the same seems to be true. At $32.50, I need to understand what am getting from you that's different, other than just supporting family, cuz my money doesn't fall from the sky. Additionally, as family, you need to set your product apart to make me want to patronise and recommend your business, other than just "they're Black too". It goes both ways. I go where my money gets me the most product, flavour, service, ambience, etc. Let's do better than just using the "Black too" card and I will HAPPILY spend with you.
@@valentinomiller6251 YES!!! Just because someone is a small business owner or Black (i'm both), that's not a valid reason to spend your money there. You pay for a return of VALUE. People buy because it brings themselves value, not because they want to feed someone else. It's a sympathy purchase, and those are not sustainable. Feel like you got what you paid for? = Boom: repeat customer. "Supporting a small business?" = one-time customer. That salmon does look good but for that price I should get another full plate!
He got salmon, wings (not shown) , a drink, sweet potatoes, rice and collards at LEAST. when I go to longhorn and get salmon with 2 sides and a salad it’s exactly 32.50
Norman is a fantastic actor. First time ever I saw one of his sketches (the one in which he gets in a public bus and wants to pay the fare in pennies), I thought it was real footage of a black Karen karening. But damn, even after knowing that it's acting, I still revisit all his videos and cannot believe how convincing and real his reactions to pretty much everything in the sketches are. It's amazing how sharp and believable his acting is.
This is what I am still reveling. How do you say SAL and then MON, and how is it pronounced, "Saimin" when people go to say it aloud? I say SAL MON, like it's spelled Lol
I swear Norman is a comedic genius 😂😂 He makes it so realistic. I have a client that is just like Norman, she complain and got something to say about everything 😅 I just caught when Norman said they print their shit at library that’s why he couldn’t read the sign 😂😂
NORMAN: I PAID YOU $32.50. I GOTTA MAKE SURE IT TASTE GOOD. WOMAN IN THE TRUCK: AND OTHER PEOPLE PAID AS WELL. NORMAN: AWWWW, DATS FINE! TAKE ME OUT EVERY TIME!
Norman has a response for EVERYTHING 😂 Owner: “It says coming soon it doesn’t say open” Norman-“Aweee really does it? Well when you print shit out at the library I can’t really tell what it say”
I'm not fooling with him today that damn wig 🤣🤣 when I say I missed him and who the hell is Amina?? When he stopped and asked about the walls I lost it.... 🤣🤣
You're making your problems ours!😅 This needs to be a catchphrase on everything! Reminds me of that dude who opened the airplane door because he lost his job. Didn't have the decency to jump out. I would have pushed him out.
