Hi pete, at 2:48 , are we not supposed to be on the left lane since we are going first exit at the first round about and then second/straight ahead at the second round about ? From what I been taught, I only use the right lane when I'm going second exit to second exit at the double round about, like if i was coming from the other side i would do that. Thanks. and well done Emma!

@Sarviix Emma was going straight ahead on both roundabouts some people get confused because we say your normal position is the left lane. You can go ahead in the left lane but why make it difficult because there are always parked cars when you come off the second roundabout? Just do it the way Emma did it..Good luck with your driving test.

Hi Pete, at 27:30 why does Emma go to the right of the central junction? Are we not meant to stay left when turning right at these types of junctions? Thanks. Ps. well done Emma.

@bluebird1109 I think it is because the traffic on the other side have to wait behind a red traffic light which means it is safe to cross. Yes you are correct about staying left when crossing to turn right. There was no mention of it at the end of the driving test and I am not hundred per cent, but my thoughts are the traffic on the other side have to wait behind a red light. Safe driving for life.

Hi pete, about the roundabout, why does emma had to stay at right because on both exits she was taking straight ahead, wont she has to be on left lane? But yeah suppose if examiner sats, turn right in first and straight ahead on 2nd, then she can stay on right on 1st round about and shouldn’t she switch lane and go to left lane smoothly if possible when approaching the 2nd roundabout?

@maryamarifduggal4719 You allowed to go ahead in either lane if there are two lanes onto the roundabout and two lanes off the roundabout. The reason I teach all my pupils to go ahead from to Utting to Utting in the lane next to the roundabout is because of local knowledge tells me there are parked cars on the left when you leave the second roundabout. That is called forward planning. Emma passed her driving test first time with just 4 minors and no mention of the way she positioned herself on the roundabout. A word of caution the roundabout coming from Knowsley village has 2 lanes on approach but there is a right arrow pointing right common sense says stay to the left lane. Good luck with your driving test.
