Considering what you paid, I’d say you received a decent product. You had meals, drinks, snd empty row, friendly flight crew and decent IFE. I’m not sure why people insist on whining about low cost carriers when they know full well what they’re getting in return. Really getting tired of the people expecting private suites on emirates when they’re paying for economy.

For the price I payed I was more than satisfied with the product. I’m not one to have high standards on food, so getting served what I got was perfect with me. I mean even for an LCC I was hoping for at least a blanket but other than that it was a very pleasant flight, even more so for the price I payed

As a FA I can say that most of us would prefer a call bell at 4 am rather than be constantly on the iPad checking if there are any new orders. I have this system in the airline I work for and its horrifying all FAs. Plus some people prefer to play with this feature and just disturb us constantly for no reason. Call bells are the best 🙌 And great review! Good luck to Norse in their journey.

I personally think they should do a hybrid of call bells and ipads. Like ipads for anything food and drink related, but call bell for anything service/ hard product related

Kudos to Norse for not trying to be a premium airline. Just enough is just that. They did that in spades from what I'm seeing here. I'd easily fly with them.

Thank you for sharing this flight to Oslo. This on Sunday today is a nice flight to look at with a great guy. But I am sorry to hear you were sick with some stomach issues from a few days or a week ago!!! I hope you recover well. This is the second or third time i have heard about Norse Airlines and how they are having some great reviews of their first inaugural flights. I hope they will have success. Secondly, I was glad you had that seat next to you empty!!! Yes, indeed empty so that you could stretch your legs over that way on this long-haul flight. Well, blankets and pillows will come. I hope your seat felt good and it looked very nice. Finally, maybe you will have to start packing a blanket with you on trips so that you will be ok on long-haul flights that do not have them. One thing I learned as I flew my years, I would always look for new blankets that were in their plastic bags already. And I also packed pillowcases with me to use. Hahaha! I did do those things to comfort me traveling. Take care and fly safe for the summer.

I'm flying the LAX to BER route in a couple weeks. Your review showed me that I should receive just what I expected in Premium Economy. Several years ago I flew LAX to CPH in Norwegian premium economy. and was glad for the fast security lines and lounge access. I won't have those perks on Norse, but the price is much less. If I'm delayed, it still will be cheaper to pay for a airport lounge entry than paying a higher fare elsewhere.

I got back yesterday morning to SYD from CLT via LAX and was on QANTAS and their premium economy product...if you ever want to review that, give me a yell if you need a place to stay and use as base for further travels around Australia 🇦🇺. And the PE experience on them is excellent

Looks like a nice plane. I agree with the menu option plan on IFE. All carriers should do that. Excellent video, as always.

Seatback iFE only in economy as far as I know. As it also shows in the video. Strange Norse opted with the flip up screen from the armrest in their premium class

I do international almost week. I HATE those flip out IFE screen. That's not premium at all! The main reason is you are ALWAYS looking down and to one side at a weird angle, instead of looking straight ahead. My neck pains are almost always from these flip out IFEs.

I loved the video and I think that was above my expectations to be honest. the buy on board system in my view is if that you want to buy a product at any hour then i would press the call button. On such a short flight With a dinner service and an above average breakfast service then I just dont see why they would include a chance of a buy on board service. But all in all a great report and im now a subscriber!!

It’s unacceptable to not receive a blanket and pillow in any cabin on a long haul flight - and in a premium cabin I’m disappointed there was no decent amenity kit

Yup... I was not necessarily happy with that, although on Norse's defense these seats sell for cheaper than any other transatlantic premium seat (at least compared to the average fare). But yes, I think for premium they should at least offer pillows.

@@ITripReport thanks so much for your reply. Maybe it was a temporary issue not being able to source pillows and blankets for the inaugural. The fares will go up and people in the economy cabin too will expect a pillow and blanket for an overnight flight. I’m glad you enjoyed it

I don’t get it! Why don’t they upsell a “luxury package” including a blanket, pillow, Airport Lounge access, full bar and upgraded food menu? I’m pretty sure people would buy it for an extra $100 per leg or so.

Great airline I see. I forgot about norse.787.8 nice upper class. They rival, S A S I take. It. Anyway its 2.2 2023. Tonight are they still flying. Keep the vids coming in 23.

Is there a footrest? From what you showed it seemed more like normal economy on Delta, which is about the same price as some of the Norse flights.

Norse is real low cost company and you have to pay for everything. In premium you’ll get some inflight service but it could be better

Norse has Good seats a reasonable price. But if they keep selling tickets at the prices you mention, they won’t survive. You have to have reasonable expectations about price and value.

If you are taking a long flight overnight and looking to sleep, would you recommend the first row/bulkhead seats in premium economy or one of the other rows? What's the tradeoff between extra legroom vs noise from being close to the bathrooms & crew?

Hi! Do you remember what the other meal option was, besides the chicken? I’m pescatarian and only eat seafood, but if they don’t offer fish as another option, I’d have to go with a Vegetarian option. It’s just good to know.

My only gripe with low fare carriers like these is you have to be spot on and understand everything you are paying for.... if you do.. you get a great deal.... 390 for what you got is a great deal!... maybe they can charge a little more for better meals..

Im planning to fly oslo-orlando in october, but is sceptical to flying in general, especially with unknown airlines. also considering if i should do premium or not.

I am not a fan of this airline. I appreciate their direct international routes, however payment service onboard is subpar at best. I will consider other airlines before I buy another ticket.

Thanks for sharing. Norse keep advertising what looks like a very competitive London to NY fare ….. until you log into their website and actually make a booking when the basics rather than luxuries cost you extra. The price soon becomes the same as regular carriers when you include things like a small bag to take on! Who only takes a small underseat bag onboard for a flight or trip to New York? The food on your flight looks awful for a so called premium product. I’ll probably stick to the legacy carriers for now until Norse can offer a better product.

Excellent trip report as per usual Emil. As for how I feel about Norse, I think they have a great business model, with an acceptable hard product, and great people working for them. However, I feel that the IFE desperately needs a moving map and they need to offer a better way to take advantage of the buy on board service! 😸

Premium seating with economy food and presentation. Sorry am not tempted. Other airlines offer a similar price for premium but much better food on nice plates not a cardboard box. I am flying premium with Virgin London to New York return for less money so will stick with them.

3 things I will never accomplish--Fly a 787,fly to Norway,fly Norse. What is Norse's route network? Will they eventually belong to one of the "Big Three" FF programs? As your inbound was late,did the captain make up time going back to Oslo? Did you get food poisoning on a previous journey? Did you film your trip home?

How do you think they will be successful selling $150 tickets in today's fuel environment ? I do not understand the logic of that. This airline has a 100% chance of failure. They tried something and it did not work the first time...so the best thing to do is THE EXACT SAME THING again.

Funny enough, their biggest business with these routes isn't passengers, its the cargo, as the CEO told us, they got a lot of major cargo contracts on the JFK route (this flight came in with a huge load of salmon), so I see this helping them stay profitable. Other than that, the margins of profitability are really low with the cheap prices, but hopefully they did their homework right with this!
