Look into the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. The mansion is not only amazing, but there are so many things to do on the grounds including restaurants and a winery.

If you ever find your way back to Boone, go to Mast General Store, Appalachian Mountain Brewery (AMB), Grandfather mountain, Appalachian Cookie Company and The Cardinal Restaurant. There is just so much that I love about Boone! I graduated from App State in May and this video made my heart so happy, I love that little town so much!

LOVED seeing you enjoy Boone and Blowing Rock - 2 of our favorite places since we live in Winston-Salem.. Next trip you have to explore Ashville (and Biltmore of course!) and then meander to the coast, checking out Raleigh and Durham and all the small towns along the way. . Lots of awesome places in NC to visit.

Can't believe you all were in Boone. I live an hour away. All the mountain towns are amazing. Black Mountain has lots of eclectic shops and breweries. Three city tour is Boone, blowing rock and banner elk. All in the area of grandfather mountain. People from all over the world visit grandfather mountain. I was there this summer. A lot of upper class folk live in the that area in the summer for the cooler temperatures. Hope to see more of nd in your adventures.

No way, you guys made it to Boone!?! I’ve thought from the minute I found your channel that you’d guys love it. I went to App State (lived in the dorm right across from the to-go version of Stick Boy, in fact) and I still dream of some of those local eats. It’s such a fun town with some truly beautiful views, hope you guys enjoyed it! If you ever return, I definitely recommend Rough Ridge for an equally stunning view as Blowing Rock, nice hike, and no charge to sit!

OH my gosh. My dad lives in Boone and go there every year. I would go more often, but we live in Chicago. We even got married there. You have to go back in the summer and check out the Highland games on Grandfathers Mountain and The Land of Oz. Also, The Horn of the West. Love hiking Rough Ridge for some great views off the Parkway. So many things to see and do, but when the weather is a little warmer. Love you guys.

Asheville is a great place to visit and has amazing food and tons of breweries. And great biscuits! Sunny point cafe for breakfast, 12 Bones bbq and White Duck Taco for lunch. There’s also great hiking, rafting and paddle boarding.

Wow! My wife and I met in and graduated from Appalachian State, and after all of the amazing places you have been, we never expected you to end up in Boone. Wild! I hope you guys tried Woodlands. It has been almost a decade since we were last in Boone but that was one of THE places we would eat (It is technically in Blowing Rock). Sending you good vibes!

Boone and Banner Elk are awesome! If you ever visit during the Summer or Fall, try to time it during one of the Land of Oz events - You can go in and tour the old Land of Oz amusement park - Beautiful place with tons of great photos ops! Of course you should head out our way sometime to Asheville and Waynesville, and see all the awesome waterfalls and hiking trails we have! But yea ... really cold here right now ... stay warm!

I love it. I live just outside of the capitol and there's no humidity ever. However, I do have to deal with it reaching down to the -30s at times. It does reach the 100s sometimes as well. Days are much longer in the summer/much shorter in the winter. I'm originally from the Holden Beach area so sometimes it really feels like night vs day. I worry more about bears and less about sharks now. LOL. Also, I'm still explaining southern slang to my husband.

Love all the delicious food, especially, Fried Green Tomatoes. We look forward to August and fall just to pick some green tomatoes. Southern Food is the best. Got a little nervous when you climbed the rock formation but of course, if you'd fallen we would not have seen your video! LOL!

My daughter just graduated from App State last week! We love visiting the area! But, when in Boone, there are 3 places you MUST, MUST go if you want the full Boone food experience: Our Daily Bread, Daniel Boone Inn, and Come Back Shack. There is also a great little BBQ Place in Blowing Rock that we've been to a few times.

Boone is a really nice town, and the Southern food is good. Fried green tomatoes, done right, are addictive! I've never had them 'dressed up' like the ones you had, but if they still had crunch, I'll bet they were grand. Sending love and Christmas blessings from the other Carolina.

NC is a great state! Next time, do a tour of the lighthouses on the coast and eat your weight in NC seafood and Duck donuts! Not the bird, the town! Light cake donuts made to order with your choice of embellishments! Wind surfing! Kayaking on the Neuse river! Wilmington! Queen Anne's Revenge! And I don't even live in that part of the state!
