Thoughts are totally with you (and many others). North Haven was my family's holiday spot when I was a kid (Sundial) so it has a special place in my heart. It flooded just like this once when we were up there so in a small way I can imagine what it is like this time. Hopefully the water recedes quickly and life can get back to normal soon. I'll look at planning a holiday there to bring a little bit of money into the community.
Saw my house twice in this video. We lost absolutely everything, still really struggling just to get back to normal, our insurance didn’t cover any of the property we lost, and we’re still held up in a holiday rental for another two weeks before that agreement comes to an end. Still so many people suffering terribly right now, but because the news and what ever else is so important going on in the world everyone has just moved on and forgotten, even those just on the other side of the bridge, just been a devastating year not just for us, but for so many good people! I hope anyone local who saw this is doing ok and getting back on with things as jest they can 🙏🏼
The water did damage the tackle shop, Brew Haven (you know how high up the entry is) the water was covering the garbage bin out the front of the cafe it was that high. The water cake right up to the windows at the Shell servo, that had to be close to four foot?
