Daddy-Daughter adventures are the best!! Great job guys!! I started backpacking there with my daughter, when she was 8, and we went back almost every year after. She and I started running Rim2Rim in mid-Aug 2015, on her 16th (my 52nd) birthday, and did 5 in a row, every year on our birthdays. She joined me again last year, and ran her 6th (my 9th). I ran it again in Oct. 8, '22, and returned mid-Aug '23 and ran it to celebrate my 60th. I really enjoyed your footage!
We are doing this in September. Our plan is to park our car at Bright Angel Trailhead, take shuttle to North Rim, overnight stay in the lodge (already made reservations) start the hike next day early morning and reach South Rim by evening and reach our car
GPS and iPhone miles are not reliable. I learned this the hard way. Simply too many signals bouncing off of too many rocks. Trust map miles. Otherwise, great video! Daddy daughter trips are as good as it gets!
