This video was recorded in the North Korean border-town of Sinuiju which is easily reachable from the Chinese city of Dandong connected by the Friendship Bridge.
The Sino-Korean Friendship Bridge, sometimes referred to as the China-North Korea Friendship Bridge (中朝友谊桥 | Zhōng cháo yǒuyì qiáo), is the bridge connecting China and North Korea across the Yalu River. It goes from the Chinese city of Dandong to the North Korean border city of Sinuiju and is one of the few borders connecting China and North Korea.
Getting into North Korea is usually a lengthy process and only allowed as part of a tour group. Sinuiju is unique in the fact it only opened up for tourism to westerners in 2014. It mainly caters for Chinese tourists and I was the only westerner in the group. However I saw this as a advantage as I had my own personal tour guide with English speaking. This gave me the opportunity to ask questions regarding Dennis Rodman, prices for daily living, how he met his wife etc.
Part of the trip involved a look around the Sinuiju Kindergarten which is famous in the DPRK for training acrobats and performers from a young age. They sang songs in Korean and Chinese and alot of interesting acrobatics.
