Do you realize that it's the exact opposite? The DPRK has on multiple occasions proposed peace deals with the south and the US. The US has always rejected this. Did you know that Trump(when in office) said that south Korea doesn't do anything without the US' approval? The huge front line has really frozen now. Basically the same situation for months. Territory-wise of course. Winter is coming though. The "tunnel" talk makes me think about WW1 when tunnels were dug in order to break the stalemate. Lets hope its not that bad and primitive:) The tank was invented to break these stalemates, and from what i gather Russia has quite a lot of tanks (and air superiority). I can only see one explanation to all of this: the russians are preparing a "real" offensive and they have a few options from Kharkov to Odessa. And while they are training troops from the partial mobilization and building up the new forces, they are happy to tie down ukrainian soldiers along this old school ww1 static frontline.
