I was a tank officer of korean army. I was enlisted in 2015 and finished my service last june. More than 2000 north korean tanks are T54/55 or 59. And less than 2000 of them are T62. And rest of them are PT76 of even T-34(The WW2 tank...) Noth korean tanks cannot peneterate South korean K1E1 or K1A2 or K2 tanks front Armour, even in 100m. However korean tanks can destroy North korean tanks in any distance in range. Korean tanks can fire main gun during running, through gyroscope. But Communist just can't. And we target the enemy tanks with Thermo Observation devices but North have none of them. There are so many superiority that hard to explain all in here. But one thing is true. A North korean tank battalion(31 Tanks.) Cannot guarantee to defeat a South korean tank platoon(4 Tanks in infantry division. 3 Tanks in mechanized Division or brigade)

Only about 20% of North Korea's heavy armored vehicles and tanks are actually usable, most of them old and poorly maintained. The navy's military power is not much different. North Korea's air power is also only about 15% of its total air power due to old aircraft, lack of maintenance and management costs, and lack of pilot training. On the other hand, South Korea is already modernized and equipped with cutting-edge systems.

솔직히 군대 안 간 내가 할 소리는 아니지만 무기가 아무리 좋아도 전술이나 정신력 약하면 꽝인데 그런 부분에서 불안함. 우리나라는 정전 중인 국가인데 지금 북한이 쳐들어오면 갈팡질팡 하다 다 죽을 거 같음. 전쟁 시 메뉴얼 등 정확하게 갖추어서 국민들에게 알리고 여자한테도 전쟁날 때 대비해서 총 쏘는 법이라든지 어떻게 대처해야 할지를 가르치는 게 좋을 것 같음.
