In Kerrville the clouds obscured most everything but totally was well over 4 minutes and it got like middle of the night dark and the street lights and the lights in the HEB parking lot all came on.
I know the birds were chirping like crazy until it got dark then instant silence. Keepers at our zoo said the flamingos were getting into a cluster, the tortoises were going into their shells, but the big cats slept thru it, lol.
Why does every eclipse photo looks nothing like what it actually looks? Because of this, seeing it for real really shocked me. It was so SHARP and magnificiently colorful.
Depends on one’s age and eye clarity! As we get older colour vision has changed, even if it is subtle! Maybe that’s a factor and cameras can distort colour too!
@@bruce4130 you’re not the sharpest tool in the shed are you? The poster asked about photos and you’re talking about human vision. Go be an optometrist somewhere else and let people enjoy what they witnessed yesterday
Let me be very clear. This video nor any video/photo can do the solar eclipse justice. It feels like magic and a camera is not capable of capturing all that, only the human eye can.
Not really sure if that's correct. The human whether young, mature or old is either still developing or deteriorating. An expensive lens camera can capture elements of the image vastly more than the human eye, not to mention the sheer magnification and filters that human eyes can't cope with due to real damage from Bailey beads or spoilt by human light pollution. The only thing a real eye can beat a digital lens on is how it profoundly makes you feel inside - that's the justice such events warrant.
Watching the weather forecast, I wasn't going to make the 3 hour trip to the area of totality. I am glad I did. It was pretty cool, and as an old man, I wont be around in 20 years to see the next one.
I was in Corsicana, which is about 20 miles south from there, and it was Absolutely Amazing!!! I'm 45 and it was the first Total Eclipse I've seen. We were soooo lucky to have a 10 minute break in clouds at that exact moment. Shortly after, the clouds rolled back in. I'm ready to see another 🤘
@@danieldaniels7571 I know. Originally I was in SA to view with family that lives there. I'm from Houston. But as soon as I learned on Sunday that visibility wasn't going to be great, I packed my stuff and drove to Corsicana. Found a super 8 for $120. It was a chance I took, and luckily paid off..
😂 maybe you will get double eggs. Man, this was a short day and night. I didn't sleep a wink, when the sun came up again, can't believe I have to lay an egg again, feels like just did 5min ago! so weird!😂
Thank you to all the wonderful guests to our town of Tupper Lake over the past few days. I am so glad the clouds moved and you were able to view the Eclipse Totality. It was an amazing site to behold. I & many others were able to get fabulous pictures & videos of the event. If you are interested in our town, I have waterfront property for sale at 131, 133, 135 & 137 Lake Simond Road, Tupper Lake, NY. Escape the city. Amen🙏🏾 to the woman who acknowledged God, because I have watch several videos today on the eclipse and people act like they are afraid to give God the glory, to praise his creative act, so sad.
OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD! HE MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH IN PERFECTION! JESUS IS COMING SOON, MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY. REPENT AND ACCEPT HIM AS YOUR SAVIOR WHO DIED FOR YOUR SINS SO YOU CAN BE WASHED CLEAN OF YOUR SINS AND BE FOUND RIGHTEOUS BEFORE GOD.
All the planets were actually visible. Venus, Mars, Saturn, and Neptune would've been off to the right, with Venus being closer, and Jupiter and Uranus to the left. Mercury would've been very close to the eclipse itself, but with it being on the opposite side of the sun, might've looked like a small star.
So many looking at the eclipse without eye protection, I don't know about them but I value my eye sight, just because the moon's shadow is cast on the sun doesn't mean looking at the sun isn't harmful, it can blind you
I wonder how many thousands Americans went to the eye doc the next day. You can watch the solar eclipse without protection in totality, but as soon it is over, put on suneclipse glasses.
Solar eclipse was witnessed by millions in America. But none of the videos show the progress of the eclipse, its totality and finally the retreat and the end, at least briefly. Eclipse happened in the sky, but TV crew men were busy in showing crowds watching the eclipse, some with curiosity, but for many it was fun time. That was all the content of videos that claimed to show the eclipse.
@@tex959 I did not mean the full video of the eclipse. Only a brief video showing the times when the eclipse starts, the moments just before and after the sun disappears etc.
A) the camera doesn't really pick it up in totality. It looks like just a ball of light. B) They have to change the lens when going from the process of the crescent part to totality. And then once the diamond appears, you have to switch back to the dark lens.
It was one great day where people actually unified and agreed with how spectacular this world really is. In San Antonio Texas, it was too cloudy but did catch a glimpse. Got super dark, then temperature dropped. Ran inside to put on sweater. Right before it got dark, lots of black birds flying around looking a bit confused. God is the Universe. I think there is hope for all of us. Vibrations were amazingly high today. Thank you God/Universe and Jesus.
What rubbish" Jesus wouldn't be bothered he would be angry"" about this in fact he would be extremely angry, remember the money exchangers, the church, and now what's going on in this world",look"oh its went dark" this is just another planet passing in front of another""except its built up in Broadway showbiz media propaganda hype ,while real people in THIS WORLD are dying, ordinary people in recognition,of wars, deaths starvation, movements of people's histories cultures ,God bless you ,but sorry these things, movements of planets are not important,
What a time to be alive I enjoyed watching, all these beautiful footage others caught I had to work so unfortunately here in new orleans it was very cloudy although I stepped & got to see 2.5 seconds of the eclipse I am happy with that 😊
I tried to get everyone in my family together. Unfortunately they didn’t see the significance. I got my mom, wife and niece together on a hill top at a golf club next to my apartment. A blanket, pillows, and a speaker playing Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon. We were so worried that the weather wouldn’t be good. That clouds would be in the way. We laid down and looked up… watched the shadow be cast over us. I was ASTONISHED. Absolutely blown away. This moment fulfilled me beyond belief. 37 years old. Now I want to chase as many as I can. What a sight to behold.
Had clear skies for the entire event at a little pumpkin patch in bloomington indiana. Highly recommend fowler pumpkin patch. Camped there. Wonderful people.
I wish I’d gone there instead of Kerrville where the clouds obscured most everything. I work part time at the Phoenix Zoo, so seeing the animals react would’ve been a huge plus I didn’t even think of.
The amazing work of God never ceases to amaze me. And to think His Word tells us “…No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” Wow, just think about that! Put your faith and trust in Christ Jesus. Accept Him as your Lord and Savior. It will be the best decision you ever make.
@@spanisheyes1958Nature doesn't have a mother, Nature is a mother. Nature does, however, have a father and that father is God; after all he did create everything. Also, this comment I came across online explains the term "Mother Nature" better than I probably could.: "It's a metaphor. The phrase Mother Nature/Earth refers to the fact that, like a mother, Nature/Earth gives us life and nurtures us. Without a mother, you wouldn't be here; similarly, without Nature/Earth to provide for us, we wouldn't exist." I hope that helps! 😊
We got total darkness but the animals acted normal. Horses kept eating and the birds kept chirping. I was waiting tor the crickets to come out but I think because it had been cold prior maybe they are not here yet. Only thing that was crazy was my two dogs were agitated during it.but the animals outside were normal...
That's some pretty low standards to believe in a magic sky fairy. With the moon slowly moving away from earth, eventually a total eclipse won't be possible. Which isn't mentioned in any of these holy books. Science figured it out. A god would make more sense if the moon orbited the earth on the same plane the earth orbited the sun and at an absolute perfect distance the entire orbit so we could see a total eclipse every month, but everything is rotating and orbiting at a completely random angle.
@reignman30 Ohhh, don't worry, I promise you will meet Him one day, and I guarantee you will be singing a whole different tune. I bet you will not call Him a magic sky fairy to His face 🫠... You'll be to busy crying and begging for mercy. Repent!!!
0"35 Sadly this is how my pictures turned out. Looks like a normal-ish sun with a black blob in the middle. This is NOT how the eclipse looked. It was a legit awesome sight that looked more like something from Dune 2.
I thought they were stars too. The two bright ones were Jupiter and Venus. Maybe you saw others as well, but those two are what I saw thinking they were stars.
@@aka99 I usually use sky map app, but in that moment I didn't care if it was a star or planet. My attention was all on the eclipse. I can see the others every day. Lol...
A random massive explosion in a vast vacuum of nothingness made this event possible? No, I do not believe it. There are three things (a Trinity ?) that make total solar eclipses possible: 1. The size of the Moon. 2. The distance between the Earth and the Moon. 3. The distance between the Sun and the Earth-Moon planetary system. A slight variation in any one of these three would make a total solar eclipse, such as the one we witnessed today, impossible. A totally random explosion, long ago, created these perfect conditions that allow total solar eclipses to happen? No, I do not believe it.
During total eclipse you can watch sun without damaging your eyes, because moon covers sun, but as soon, diamond ring is visible put on you glasses immediately.
You're in a shadow. It's not a blessing from the Lord. It's an amazing experience. If you need an eclipse to let you know there's a Lord, then, you need more Bible studies. Keep on looking directly at the eclipse and you're going to blame the devil for losing your vision for not wearing the special lenses.
@@Jaseford They were actually all visible. Venus, Mars, Saturn and Neptune to the right, Jupiter and Uranus to the right. Mercury was in close proximity to the eclipse itself, but between us and the sun so we could only see it's dark side.
God created heaven and earth. Today April-8-2024 many eyes lookup to see God’s magnificent works. Jesus promised HE will return. Whoever believe in Him, will live in heaven that He is preparing for🙏
I think the animals are freaking out because they know whats coming. I doubt they are confused and starting their nighttime routine. They are smarter then that.
The greatness of God speaks to His absolute rule over all things. His endless resources. His unimaginable power to do as He pleases and for whomever He pleases. He is King of all, even of those who would deny (v. 4) the One who upholds the universe with the word of His power (Heb 1:3).
Calm down. It's the shadow of the moon. No gods were involved. It's just the moon and the Earth following the laws of gravity. If it hadn't happened, then you would have had a point because, then the laws of nature would have had to have been altered by a powerful being. If anything, the fact that it happened exactly in the way that science predicted it would happen undermines the case for the existence of any gods.
