My wife and I just did this hike yesterday and today (September 19-20, 2024). Going up off the fire trail, taking the Aquila Loop up to Northbrook Mountain, ending the day at the England Creek Bush Camp where you had lunch. We hiked out along Joyner's Ridge Road. I kinda wish we were younger and fitter, and could tackle this kind of thing in a single day with a small pack. Carrying a tent, sleeping bags, etc made it a hard slog! It was lovely to see some of the places we went, but it was much more lush and wet when you were there. Great video, as always.
Glad you had a great couple of days out there on Northbrook. The England Creek Bush camp is a hidden gem, I've stayed there a couple of times myself. Can't beat falling asleep to the sounds of a running creek after a day of hiking! It's definely a good one to do after a bit of rain. Thanks for watching :)
beautifully filmed, Steven, of "my backyard"... very aesthetic, calming, serene, drawing the viewer with you, all without words...my kind of journey... Thank you. You have me subscribed! :)
Thanks so much for the lovely comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the silent hiking style of the video. Also thanks for subscribing :) hoping to get back out there soon to create some more videos.
I can definitely see why this is currently in your top 3 adventures play list. Also, that meal looks delicious. Pretty sure this is the first time I've seen someone break out tomatoes and saute them like that in the backcountry!
Thanks mate, yea I was lucky it cleared up a bit around lunch time. Was hoping to get more drone footage earlier in the day but it was raining too heavy at that time.
Hey mate, thanks for pointing that out. The correct map is www.alltrails.com/trail/australia/queensland/northbrook-mountain-england-creek-and-joyners-ridge?u=m&sh=03sb8h
