Pretty informative about the junipers. Found it interesting about how the baby trees grow within them. Also, the scenery/landscape on this video was really pretty. 😊

Nice spread!!! If those tree's could speak?? Native Indians probably rode thru there. Take care, all the best 👍

I like your property because it doesn’t appear to be covered in rocks like mine is. And looks level.
@AZOFFGRID
@AZOFFGRID 2 года назад
My place is mostly level, but it actually is nearly 60% covered in nothing but tons and tons of rock. I think I touched on it in my older videos. I'll try to touch on it again in a future video.

Wow, I didn't know that pine trees would grow in the middle of a junior tree and survive, that's amazing. Also the information on the juniper trees was very informative. Thank you for sharing both of these facts. What happened to Sadie that she needed surgery? She looks like she did really good on this 2 mile walk. I sure enjoyed the video TJ. Take care! 💋💜🦋

There’s probably lots of water under those huge Juniper.
@AZOFFGRID

There must be. They average around 30+ gallons of water per tree each day.
@MannyWC
@MannyWC 9 месяцев назад
@@AZOFFGRID exactly ! Are you going to drill a well or have you? Just found your channel
@AZOFFGRID
@AZOFFGRID 9 месяцев назад
@@MannyWC not very feasible. The soil is between 3 and 8 feet deep and then solid rock. The rock continues down for around 1,300 feet. It would cost a small fortune to drill and hitting water isn't guaranteed.

What is the weather like ...summer and winters?
@AZOFFGRID
@AZOFFGRID 6 месяцев назад
The summer high is usually in the mid 90's. I have seen it over 100 before. The winters are cold. Overnight lows can get below zero, but usually between 10 and 20 degrees. Some winters have light snowfall, and some winters with three feet of snowfall in a week.

Maybe it's time to invest in an automatic deer feed? Put out some salt licks?
@AZOFFGRID

I have been thinking about salt licks, but I'm worried the cattle will consume them and leave nothing for the other wildlife.

You’re doing the right thing, getting a place to make your own, taking time to reflect, getting something to give time, effort and passion. May I comment, don’t be parochial, plant plants suited and of use to you, no matter their origins. Trees like Olive, Carob, Apples and Pears.

have you had adequate rainfall this year? Enough for over a years supply when stored? THank you

Absolutely. If I had enough tank storage and rain catchment in place, I could have caught enough water to last all year full time.
