Northern CA Ride along - Route 193

My go to from sac for twisties is forest hill/hwy 49 and 193. Hella fun 🤙🏽

If you have time for a full day ride. Take 88 up to Markleeville. Run 4 back till 26 or 49 to get you back to Sacramento. That is a full day. The views on 4 with the switchbacks and twist. Just be careful. There are sections of 4 that were pretty rough when I was on it in early June. Definitely needs some road work. But take your time and enjoy the scenery.

Came across your channel enjoyed the content I live in amador county and a lot of beautiful roads around here. You just gotta go the speed limit no matter how nice of a ride it is especially if you’re not wearing leathers thank you for videotaping the ride. It’s very beautiful. do you guys ever ever get group rides together and I assume you live in northern California? I live in a small city in Amador county called Volcano. It’s pretty cool shake ridge is a common road up here and it’s got a lot of turns and twisties, but the road isn’t good. It’s kind of like a mix between black asphalt and a little bit of gravel when the asphalt starts to deteriorate reason being when it snows, I’m sure it destroys the black asphalt anyway again thank you for your channel. Looks pretty cool.

You mentioned something about your 360 Go pro I didn't know GoPro had a 360 feature. What am I missing? I certainly like using GoPro better than my insta360. Any tips?

What A cool officer. Why can't they all be like this. Don't get me wrong, I know some awesome officers up here in my area. Infact I tell the one named Joe he needs to start a training course how to be the best public official in your town or county. Unfortunately he is retiring next year and moving is family to Kentucky were he purchased many acres of land.

How was the heat? I’m not familiar with that route. I’m not crazy about 3hr rides, get bored too quick. I’ve been wanting to get up to Ice House road soon, but since just getting to Hwy 50 ads an hour I need to learn the hwy 80 side of things. Would love to ride up past Dobbins too, never been up there in a bike. I spent a school year living up by a dam above Dobbins - was gorgeous. Would like to see it again.

🤣Actually there are mountain lions and bears all through there. Also, passing over a double yellow a friend of mine was killed on his bike there when he hit a school bus coming around a turn.

Mosquito Ridge road has been open for at least two days this week that I rode it to the big sequoa trees day use area. Alot of newish asphalt, no construction going on, hardly anyone on the roads except a couple slow "Core Services" trucks who refused to pull over and let me pass for 20 miles. Pass one bad tar snake, at least two pot holes that wouldn't have been fun to hit but easy enough to avoid at 40mph, and one real uneven asphalt area mixes with a tar snake and about a 2" gap between each side of the uneven asphalt. Was beautiful to see the big sequoia trees area almost untouched by the fires.
