I found this show in syndication, around 1999, and I loved it. It was really unique at the time. I recently rewatched the show and it still stands up well, despite all of the years.
Yeah, I noticed that too. That was dumb. Also, this robo-narrator mispronounced some of the names. Oh well, I give it a C+, if this is some kinda school project. I still enjoyed it cos I’m such a huge fan of the show.
HaH! My cable box crashed yesterday afternoon, so I thought, 'what the hell, I'll dig through old dvds i haven't watched in probably 15yrs,' and like an old lost friend, N-E was the first one i saw. I've binge watched up to season 3 to this one of Edith the optometrist. I worked swing shift when it came out so I ran out and bought a DVD player [when they were the size of a Mini Cooper]. I hit the carpet running when I got home: shower, leftovers in one hand, and godbox (remote) in the other. Halfway through the 1st season, my girlfriend and me flipped half of our clothing over to everything Pendleton and Eddie Bauer. Gotta love plaid and corduroy 😅. I expect this wk I'll be hyping N-E up to my fb friends to see who remembers it and which were their favorite bits. Janine was voted one of the 50th most beautiful women when she was in NE.
i used to love that show. the characters were great. ed, marilyn? i can't remember the other ones, damnit. they all cracked me up or intrigued me. i watched it for a long time, but then drifted away from it. it went beyond my interest in the surreal. but it was well written, well performed. i wish it hadn't because i really enjoyed it. i need to find a couple episodes to watch again. it was one of those rare high quality, superb creations. like mash, hill street blues, barney miller.
So then we had all these other discussions on matters, which is why we put a premium young doctor in the small town per agreement. That particular town has the mechanics of federal protection and factory.
Time has a way of changing our looks in many ways huh? As you can see from the above 👆video. The description of each character then vs. now. Makes you think! This happens to all of us, but we were not on a TV series. They were.
if I remember correctly - when the girls broke the bottle of super vintage wine Valerie(forget character name) was able to get the right combo of cheap wine and dirt to fool the poser gourmets that came to the big gourmet dinner. They opened the bottle that was glued together and were fooled into believing they had the best wine and meal ever. The girls weren't invited because they didn't have the discerning pallet to appreciate such fine food and drink. The girls all laughed up their sleeve knowing the fooled the men with cheap wine and a little dirt.
I’ve heard conflicting reports about Morrow, some saying the cast and crew hated him and some saying that they all got along fine?🤷♂️ Anyone else heard anything about that??
Wow! This pic is definitely incorrect! Cynthia Geary is on the left 1994. Teri Polo to the right 2022. Who ever put this video together would have done better to be “very careful with precisely who’s on which side!” Looking at the picture here & it’s saying 5:08. That’s when this photo shows up. It’s too late now I guess; but someone messed up badly on this specific photo of the 2 ladies! 🙄
