High pressure will continue to block moisture from entering the Northwest (perfect for Northern Lights viewing Friday night statewide) while simultaneously compressing air and heating things up into the upper 80s to low 90s this weekend. Largescale cooldown on Monday returning temps closer to average for the Willamette Valley, but a lot sooner for some including the coast with changes as early as Saturday- Temps back down into the 60s with low morning clouds. A weakening high pressure and strengthening low offshore will bring back onshore flow with clouds, cooler temps, but dry conditions will remain next week. Only slight chance of some drizzle or mist for the coast next week, big rain chances continue to remain minimal for next 15 days.
