I was trying to capture northern lights in real time during last 3 winters, but it's not easy! The strongest & most spectacular show lasts only for a minute or so, so there's not much time to practice. But I finally made it! I managed to get a footage that I think is worth sharing.
Forecast for that night didn't look promising, but I had a feeling that I should try anyway. So I went 30 minutes away from the city and stayed there in the middle of cold night for 3 hours. Not much was going on, but I was patient, and then, all of a sudden, a beautiful display of dancing lights started right above my head. I'm so happy I stayed!

My equipment: Sony a6400 with manual lens TTArtisan 17mm
Settings: F1.4, Shutter 1:50, ISO 5000.
