Brilliant version excellent backing from a world class orchestra.

It's great to see people loving and listening to this music after all this time. I dj'd at all the Golden Torch all nighters in 1972...I was 17 years of age. I very been to every venue since without a break, and dj'd at most of them. I feel a sense of belated achievement that 'we were right all along', this music really means something.....Power to the people!!

Does anyone have a vid of the orchestra playing Exus Trek as it was never shown on the broadcast.

Quality, not quite as good as original. It shows how timeless and popular northern soul is, it will always be there I've been into it 45 years.

What amazes me is virtually no credit to the scooter rallies that have kept northern going ..as per the proms best thing bbc have done for yonks..ktf.lambretta a way of life

Whilst this is one of my favourite northern soul songs, I felt that this performance didn't do it justice, particularly as the lyrics weren't correct in places. I also felt that Natalie Palmer's voice would be more suited to "traditional soul" rather than Northern soul, at least for this song and her part in "Do I love you" later in the show. Elsewhere in the comments someone mentioned the Orchestra playing a little too fast, for this song, which may have prevented Natalie breathing correctly for the song. Overall, I particularly enjoyed the whole show, and I am going to search out some more of Natalie Palmer's performances in order to give her a fair chance. 😉
