On this weeks camping adventure I spend 3 days camping on a remote Ocean Side Beach Recreational Camp Site in the Northern Part of Vancouver Island. I explore the area and find a majestic waterfall and that was an amazing site to see. At the end day ones adventure I ended my night by throwing in my crab trap in over night and in the morning I wake up to strong winds and I am unable to retrieve it and even lose it for a number of hours. As I barely manage to find it and was struggling with bad weather conditions, on my way back to land I got to witness one of the most amazing rainbow appearances in might entire life. So please stick around until the end to enjoy the whole adventure.
As always Thanks for watching!

I'll share a story about losing a trap. We lost a prawn trap last summer near Desolation Sound. A few weeks later my Dad got a call from a guy who lives on an Island near the spot. Apparently the trap go pulled by currents and was doing laps in the area for several days. The good samaritan recovered it and called the number and let us know he would leave it on a local dock for when we were in the area again. That was how we learned the trick of weighing the trap down with a 12" length of 2" pipe (results may vary). The pipe digs into the sandy bottom and anchors the trap without adding too much extra weight. Generally, one scotchman buoy has enough flotation to hold a typical prawn or crab trap off the sea bed, if the rope runs out. Once the whole trapping setup is floating, you're at the mercy of the wind and waves. Sometimes you get lucky and are able to recover it.

In my 70's now with 0ver 50 years of off/on wilderness experience so it is easy to see you have a lot to learn yet but... you are mildly entertaining.

Thanks? I'm not sure what experience I am lacking? I've been an outdoors man my whole life. Should I be in a tent and start a fire with Ferro rod?

Previous episode; broke your GoPro mount when stumbling, caught only one undersized crab then placed your pot where the pros had just left ( lack of confidence or did you think they had left you some crab in that spot?) This episode clumsily fell on your drone (lucky it still worked?) Lost your crab pot ignoring common sense of bringing it in the night before. Lucky to find it though it had zero crobs in it. Youmove about clumsily in your plastic boat and demonstrated a lack of skill retrieving your pot. You don't even have the sense to put a wind barrier around your stove when cooking. Oh yeh and youforgot your frying pan flipper. So what I didn't say last comment since you replied to it in a smart-ass manner is that you come off as a clumsy, careless dufus who should never get too far from the proximity of others to rescue you when you either fall out of your boat or break a leg in one of your less graceful moments. You're not to be taken seriously as an experienced outdoorsman no matter how much you enjoy being on your "adventures".

Breakfast Lunch. You should call it something like a combination of both. Lunchfast maybe. I don't know, play around with it, see if you come up with anything. who knows it might catch on.

I do love the upgrade and definitely makes things easier. As I was out there I absolutely thought the same thing haha. I actually left the oars in my driver way and Michelle didn't have to room to bring them up for me. Another learning lesson. Thanks for watching Blueman!
