Northern Wisconsin Pike Fishing. In this episode of Anthony's Outdoors we make our annual trip for northern Wisconsin pike fishing. In this Pike-A-Thon trip we caught a total of 165 fish in 2.5 days of fishing. Northern Wisconsin pike fishing can be amazing in spring. Fishing for pike this time of year is very straight forward and keeps you entertained all day!

Can you say the make and model of the reel that failed? I've recently had a bad experience with Daiwa.

@adventures8977 It was a Lews Speed Spool LFS. I've had terrible luck with Diawa musky sized reels as well. But since switching to Diawa bass sized reels we've been pleasantly surprised with their performance. But I do think reels are one of those hit or miss things.

@Dana Drake Yes. The DNR has recommendations for fish consumption for each lake and river.
