I'm assuming the context is around keeping them in your house, in which case keeping bacteria definitely would be the same, and if you locked a human in a cage and tied its hands and feet down yeah that's just a plant that begs for mercy

To be clear, there's no cabal going "lets make driving shit in vancouver" It just so happens that in order to make walking viable, drivers need to be inconvenienced as a tradeoff.

@@offtopfloorThey don't, driving is great in many places where transit and cycling are dominant. You still need some level of modal filtering, parking removal, etc to make buses faster. At the end though driving is pleasant and predictable (low congestion), it just takes longer routes and is more expensive. Driving needs to be worse than transit, not necessarily than now
