fire emblem: milkshake heroes is actually one of the most mechanically complex games in the franchise. this to say nothing of the story and characters; i’ve played through it three times and every time, it has changed my life. the any% speedrun seems to constantly change given that the ai is nearly impossible to pin down.

I respect only playing a game for as long as you enjoy it. No ending is worth the time spent not having a good time

Watched dredge at first for the first few episodes, then had it on the second monitor for a few weeks. While I didn’t see what was happening, I could tell it was starting to annoy him more and more, of which he then vents at chat, so I can’t say I’m too surprised he’s done with it. Now papas freezeria on the other hand I’m pegged out of my gourd for! It’s such a neat nice game to vibe to, and I really enjoy watching it, it’s a main monitor game for me. Was a little sad it was absent on RU-vid for a few days but I’m thrilled there’s going to be more!

I actually tapped out at the eel saga, I can't believe he made it this far. Like I watched the first dredge vid, bought the game, completed it, and then I just couldn't stand to watch NL playing it anymore. So I'm actually impressed it took him this long to give up when I gave up on him like 3 vids in.

I quite enjoyed playing Dredge myself but NL's right on this one. It's definitely not his tempo, it's not a great stream game to begin with, and he wasn't having fun with it. I like the game but it's a good call to just cut your losses and move on, no matter how late in the game he is.

Better this way, but ironic considering that in the earlier episodes he was ranting about Stardew Valley not having loss conditions and that he needs "adversity" in his games. That might've been true for old young NL who played Dark Souls and New Vegas, but it's not true anymore for new old NL who doesn't have the patience or attention span to tackle adversity.

I just find it crazy that he can complain about how long the game took after spending 1.5 hours going in circles just catching 1 fish, selling, repairing, and sleeping. Like this is news to noone but if he wasnt looking at chat he could've had the quest fish front of mind and speedran the game so easily lmao

Tbf he's making it way harder for himself by not using the looking glass to find them instead of sailing to every fishing spot to see if it's the one specific one he wants. Not that Dredge really helps explain how helpful that is 🤷‍♀️

I got Dredge because NL was playing it and it looked fun. I finished the game in less than 12 hours and had a good time, maxed out my boat, accidentally did the zones out of order and got sunk twice. Honestly, NL would have a much better time if he just learned how to drive the boat. Then again, I also wasn't interacting with chat while playing.

Just buy bait and don't have anything except an abyssal rod equipped and you will find a ghost shark every time at devil's spine.

My response about his Dredge playstyle turned into a 2 paragraph rant on how NL has changed from a "gamer" into something else, I guess a "dad gamer" is a polite way of saying it. If you have been watching NL for a long time, like from before the Slay The Spire days, you know what I'm talking about.

The only good thing about the game is the lore but NL will not bother looking for all the clues anyway as one of the professional speedrun gamer of all time. The game's progression and main campaign quest is mid. Unless you explore around the story and ending makes 0 sense.
