dunno if you guys would ever go back as of afar, before marcus sung in the band, two complete diffferent sounds with Adrian, man i miss him. but Marcus has bought this band into an entierly new space and time, its incredible in every way, I stlil miss Adrian though
I was there. I saw someone get knocked out pretty much as soon as the instruments came in. Would have been about 2:18. They went stiff and got lifted out.

Fact is if those bands hadn't been around we wouldn't have the new ones, but that completely negates the old ones being "better". they're the role models, not the superiors. Everything that they started, bands have had 40+ fucking years to get better at it. If pantera never existed, and you released their music today, with bands like Northlane already out, no one would buy the records. It's common sense. I have this argument alot though so, go ahead
@@darthswader4734 then you should know better. Cemetery Gates alone is one of the best vocal tracks in metal. And to think that music has evolved past the classics is just wrong. I am a huge metal fan - ‘22 has produced some of my favorite albums in years. But Pantera, Metallica, and Megadeth at their best are on another level. I mean, do you really believe that Northlane has better songs than Holy Wars, Hollow, One, Puppets, Hangar, etc. And that’s just popular stuff. Bands like Death have put out masterpieces that aren’t touched by many. There are modern metal bands I’d put in that category-maybe Opeth and Gojira, for starters, but Northlane is not on that level or even close despite making great music.
