@@ForceFedBalt Disagree. Maybe this is due to poor mixing or something else, but the vocals sound as distorted as possible and are constantly blocked by annoying noise. Kinda reminded All Smiles album by Sworn In.
Marcus bears all on this one. So much weight to these lyrics. I can only imaging how good getting this out of him must feel. Another incredible track from an even more incredible band. well done boys.
This band can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. Node and Mesmer were just beautiful. Alien Is intense industrial nu metal badassery. I'm genuinely excited to see what this band has In store for us In the future.
I love how the riffs on the guitar on this album just fully blend with the synth and electronic. And the song is filled with so much heavy emotions. This band is in their own league for sure, no one to compete with
Makes it clear they always planned on doing a deluxe release, there's no way they were sitting on something this good and didn't plan to release it haha
@@avedisdrummer989 I was like "yeah they def gonna drop an instrumental next year" when Alien first came out. Just did not know that we'd be getting an insane track delivered with it.
Welcome to my life. Jesus, Marcus hits me in the face with feelings. My whole life I've been along for my parents ride just scraping by and struggling with various vices. This is why Northlane is the shit and Alien is their best album. Most real album in a long time.
couldnt imagine how much harder this hits for you. whenever i hear a song with these deep personal lyrics i always feel for the artist and the listener who can relate. in a weird way it makes the music 10x better when it hurts like that... but i hope you do well in life man
First listen: excited to hear new northlane Second listen: "might be one of the best on Alien" 20th listen: this might be the best northlane song so far
@@shanemassey8398 I'm glad we're in the same boat lol. The first time I heard this song, I SKIPPED it before the main chorus. Now it's one of my favorite Northlane songs!
Honestly, songs like this are my favorite. It's not just a story, but it's Marcus showing he refuses to let himself be defined by the trauma he suffered. By writing this and publishing it, he is taking control. Telling his story. Goddamn, I'm new to Northlane (I just found this song like a week ago) but already I'm in love.
I remember all the criticism on Marcus when he just joined Northlane, safe to say they improved so much with him. Alien is a banger album and so is this new release! Keep it up Aussi boyssss!
Even with Adrian, the band would eventually hit this direction, so it really does not matter in the end. Though, Marcus is also doing an amazing job imo
It's such an incredible and pleasing moment when a song that sounds absolutely incredible also has deeply relatable lyrics. You catch yourself vibing to the orgasmic sounds, then you swap to thinking "Yeah, this one's gonna be with me for a loooong time." Absolute slapper boys. Thanks for this one
Definitely loving this sound of Northlane much more than previous albums. They were always hit and miss for me, but since Alien, they've definitely caught my attention 🤘
I lived this album. The moment it came out I knew I had to get tickets to see you. It is so heart breaking yet so empowering at the same time. It gets better.
