Can we talk about 54:34 and that INCREDIBLE high clean chorus there? He's at the tail end of one of the most vocally taxing sets I can imagine and he fucking nails it! I hope I get to see them live some day. Phenomenal.
20:42 okay that bass flip was SO SICK. Also the fact they still play oldies is amazing. I really hope that continues. I love how Marcus gives it his all during the songs that Adrian wrote. The way Adrian wrote his phrasing was very difficult, very hard to replicate live, especially after a full set and the voice is worn out from tour. He really compliments those early Singularity and Discoveries tracks. I know I speak for everyone when I say I miss those albums and miss Adrian. The best thing they can do is continue to play those tracks that brought them to this success. Much respect for that.
What an incredible singer. Must be very difficult to constantly have to switch between styles. Yes, he's using effects, but it still takes a great deal of control to do that and maintain that level of intensity he brings.
Check the acoustic live session he did on RU-vid (C-19 time)...before he joined northlane, he did covers of the band...both me and my mate at that time said "perfect replacement" that is no disrespect on the singer before him...as he was an equal savage 👌🏻🙌🏻💪🏻
24:20 Pierced straight into my soul. In the original recording hes singing in such a beautiful normal pitch, but he bursted through into his high notes here and I could just feel his passion for what hes singing about. A meer recording of a past event brought tears to my small office across the country.
On the European tour it looked like the lighting was timecoded on the console so a lot of work goes into it in pre-production, I assume Marcus/Nik have clicktracks to keep time. I've seen the same LD do other bands like Sylosis and every set has been gorgeous, getting so much out of more compact rigs. Need to find out his name.
I was supposed to go see them in cleveland tonight...I bailed bc I didnt feel like making the 3.5 hour drive twice in one night. I've done it before but I just couldn't bring myself to do it tn. Figured I'd come on here to see what I'm missing! Edit: I'm now regretting my decision
We saw them in Cleveland last night. They played the same set but in a little different order. my wife isnt a metal head but even she really enjoyed it. Currents and Erra killed it too
This whole band and sound is on another level, every emotion engaged at every moment beat riff and lyric. Just beautiful, musical harmony born of chaos ordered up in the form of Northlane!
They played the same set it Cleveland last night (but in a little different order)! Such a great show. Currents and Erra killed it as well. But i was absolutely lost in Northlane ❤
So freaking amazing, I have seen them a few times in the past and they continue to be awesome. Love the new sound, its so great to see how versatile they are!! Seeing them Sept 1 in NYC
This entire set was a fucking banger nonstop! Everything was on point and everyone was firing on all cylinders, from the bass to guitars to drums it all sounds crisp and clear. And Marcus of course being the cherry on top, he carries this band to incredible heights! Props to Brendon for being a absolute madman too, he can do it all from sing, scream, and he plays guitar and drums as well as bass. AND THAT BASS FLIP AT 20:42 HOLY SHIT
I just bought my ticket for December and looking at this I'm so excited. Northlane have always been one of the best live bands and these new songs are simply made to be played live
Oh well.. remember those days where people were like.. Uh Marcus.. uh no.. please, leave. I am glad he's still around though and did not give up because some shitty comments and people.
Thank you thank you thank you thank you for recording this show. I miss concerts so much and watching this just brings me back. It was such an amazing show.
I got turned away and made to turn around at the Canadian border when Northlane was playing w/ Invent, Animate. Fucking cannucks made me miss the show after they deamed me inadmissible into their country. Once Northlane was said to be coming here years later, I was ecstatic. This show was amazing. My only complaint is they weren't the headliner, at least they weren't on paper....
@@LeoPresents never looking for studio quality for this type of stuff. But the bass and guitars are super muddy...kick drum too snappy and the vocals are pretty good lol
Leo Presents imo your love recording sounds incredible! I can only imagine how amazing the sound at your venue was!! You guys nailed it hosting Northlane!
Northlane has become my favorite band in the last year. I of course love others, but they have worked themselves into a special place known as my heart :)
