Growing up in a somewhat poor rural area surrounded by large lakes we had a significant summer population that filled our lakes with mostly high-end fiberglass ski boats. But on one lake there was a Jewish family that had an amazing looking solid mahogany ski boat as kids we called it the Jew boat. We didn’t mean anything negative in fact just the opposite as we greatly admired that boat.
The wooden boats are warm ,beautiful, graceful, I most certainly remember them on the Ohio River, being raised on in the Louisville, area in the 50&60s
Those are some gorgeous contemporary wood boats! My own little 1962 wood boat graces the cover of my music CD; there’s something warm and beautiful in the grain of a wood boat.
fiberglass boats are made form sand and things that where not alive at any time.trees are alive and they grow and moved and have a soul, that's why wooden boats look and feel so great the wood that onced grew and took on all the feelings of the world around it gives the boat a soul of its own,a wood house has more of a homely feeling to it then any concret house just my 2 cents anyway
fantastica costruzione, nulla dainvidiare ai ns riva . anche se sono un velista trovo bellissime le linee di questi scafi claudio ,stradella, pavia ,italia
