Goode socks is a must I love wool socks and ir a Goode sport style crew. I also don't like thick socks. I'll give a look into these socks for when I have to wear normal boots otherwise I use Injinji they make a wool I got to try thanks for reminding me
I use the Nortiv sand colored side zip boots for motorcycle riding, and they're great. I had to go with a size 12 because they don't make it in 11.5W, and the 12 fits perfect. I tried the first Armadillo and ended up sending it back for the Merril Moab 3, but that was only because the Moab 3 was on sale for $80. The Armadillo seemed like a good boot though. I can't wait to see how these hold up for you!
I have already given them 3 months of hard work, climbing but also as footwear for work on asphalt, and at the moment both the sole and the seams are still intact.
Typically it's how long they last that's the trade off with cheap boots. It'll be interesting to see how these last. I'll be surprised if they last much over a year of frequent wear. Don't forget your link you mentioned. Also, I see August's sponsor still in the description box. Nothing wrong with that I think. Just wanted to remind you if it did happen to matter. At some point I think you were planning to remind people there's a difference between hiking and work boots.
I have rarely had a pair of hiking boots last much more than a year- but that is with keens, merrel, etc. If these can last as long as those brands I will be fully satisfied. I should replace them however with something better to suit my lifestyle.

I have these boots. what is the orange lacing at the ankle and how did you wear your laces? It looks different than what I have, but I may be missing something.
I bought two pairs and I can't remember exactly what was wrong with them but I had to send them back. It was a size issue, the width or something. Maybe they were too narrow and at the time didn't offer a wide? Can't remember.
I bet Salomon loves them! Considering that they are direct ripoffs of the Salomon Quest. I’ve been wanting to try Oboz. Even though they’re farmed out to be built in Cambodia I think
I look forward to your full review. I always need boots & Dick's sporting goods wants over $100 for similar ones.. and I'd rather not buy from Dick's 🇺🇸 (I know.. I'm choosing between commie China & anti 2A Dick's) 🤷
At the beginning of your video, If you were highly trained you would have had a more staggered stance and tapped the ground before proceeding forward. Again, that was very "UNTACTICAL." 0 for 2 in the "TACTICAL DEPARTMENT". Haha, just kidding. Great review!
Imagine wearing boots with open sting hooks and your left or right shoelaces gets caught on it then you trip and fall down a mountain. My 92 year old grandfather fell in his yard wearing boots like this. I felt so bad because I was the one that got them for him. I don’t recommend boots like this ever.
I just hike in my Converse because boots are too expensive to just be falling apart. A lot at the front lip like you mentioned. The only downfall for Converse is traction sucks & they get wet. But I've always just dealt with it. Also they're a woke company, but I've been wearing them since I was a kid. I am yet to find a good pro American made shoe. If you know any lmk..
