A sunnier day today. From Geiranger I headed up the Ornevegen scenic road to the Ornesvingan viewpoint, and then back to Geiranger to catch the ferry to Hellesylt. Geirangerfjord is popular with cruise ships and the 1-hour ferry journey was pretty spectacular. At Hellesylt I headed west for a couple of miles and then north into the Norangsdalen valley, a quiet road but with beautiful scenery, all the way down to Norangsfjord. I took the Leknes-Saebo ferry, headed west to Orsta, and then followed to coast road around to the Festoya-Solavagen ferry. It was then a short ride to the sea port of Alesund.
