Hey Friends,
We are Shailja and Arvind Keprate. We are an Indian (Shimla) couple who lives in Norway (Oslo) and gives information about this beautiful country through our RU-vid vlogs. The language we use is Hindi and English for our videos. We put our heart and soul into making these RU-vid videos and hope you will enjoy watching it as much we enjoy making it. If you have any suggestions or queries please put it in the comment box. We will definitely get back to you.
About this video -
In this video, we collaborated with Amalie Midtigård. She's a Norwegian who lives in Bodø. She's doing her bachelors in Hindi and Indian culture. So basically, she's a brown girl in a whites person body. :) We asked her many questions about Norwegians and Norway. Many answers were myth busters for us, and hopeful will be for you too. We hope you like the video.

I need to do a background check ... cause this is unbelievable. I am damn sure she must have spend some years somewhere in North India, where she picked up her skills. May be, she could have been a student in one of the Indian Universities where she hung out with a hindi speaking group of mates ...

@@desiputtar89 जी नही । अगर ऐसे होता तो ना वो सिंगर भक्ति में लीन होने का अभिनय करती ना उसपर बार बार कैमरा जाता । आप देखिये अनुराधा पौडवाल , लता मंगेशकर इनके भजन कितनी सात्विकतासे गाते है , उनको देखकर मन मे और सात्विकता बढ़ती है आजकल भगवान काम और गानेवाले पर ज्यादा फोकस होता है ये दोष पूरे क्रू को जाता है । ये बात क्यों कहनी पड़ी की ये गीत इतना मधुर गाया है फिर भी बारबार सिंगर को क्यो दिखाना पड़ा? और कोई गाना होता और पूरा गाना भी सिंगर पर फिल्माया होता तो बात अलग थी । कलियुग में औरत को परोसने की बात आम हो गयी है । कुछ लोग इतने बुरे होते है छोटी नन्ही बच्ची को भी नही छोड़ते । इसलिए भगवत भजन करना ता की बुराइयों से बचे तो यहां भी वो ही । अत्यंत क्षमाप्रार्थी हूँ आप की ।🙏

@ferzy09 my late Grandmother was born and brought up in Norway, LERBERG is very famous and well known surname in Norway. Ida Lerberg was honoured by the government of Norway with Gold medal for her Social service in India for over 50 years, at age of 25 she came to India.

She came to India to learn Dance or Gymnastics I guess and she lived here around 2 years so she learnt indian languages Nothing surprising in it .it's same as Indians living in Germany speaks German or Indian living in France speaks French 👍

No. I was a gymnast for 10 years in Norway only. I have never been taught dance. I do have professional dance friends who are Indian, but they have not taught me hindi or dance, so I do not know where you get those assumptions from, haha. I have never lived in India either, I have been 3 times and stayed combined for 4 only months :) I am studying Hindi and India at a Norwegian university.

Really? I think that rather depends on whether there are other seats available or not. If the bus is more or less full, many people (including myself) will sit next to you. And unlike what some people seem to think, there are those of us who DO small talk (yes, I am one of them). However, I wouldn`t walk up to you at the end of the bus if there were plenty of seats availabe in front or the mid section. Also, I can`t say that I`ve noticed much difference in how people behave on the bus here in Oslo, compared to Copenhagen, Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Cologne.. or Sydney, Australia for that matter. Never been to India but it is definitely on my Top 3 Must See-List in the world. Namaste from Oslo

Oh yes, she said right about this on having drinks they get really friendly with strangers.. i experienced it when i was in Stavanger and Bergen city... Day time Norwegian are different and night time in pubs they get soo friendly and close to strangers...

...and then there are exceptions. I don`t drink much alcohol, you won`t find me in bars around midnight (anymore) and I definitely don`t mind small talk to strangers. Not sure if I get "close" (I am definitely a hugger, but it depends on how long I have known this person) to strangers, depends on. It also very much depends on my energy level ,I can be a chatter box at a party or if I meet you in a cafè, and then the next day I may be sitting in solitude on the bus back home from work, tired, don`t want to talk to anyone.. But I guess this is the same for most people. I also know a few Norwegians who are just like me,they can be chatty, open, but they still don`t need alcohol in order to be like that.
