1. That brown sweater fits you great! (I just finished a brown turtleneck) 2. Your hair!! ❤️ 3. Loved Bergen - 15 years ago. Would go to Norway again in a heartbeat 💗
I love your curly hair and I think this brown sweater looks good on you. I love the tartan skirt with the sweater and boots, also the one with the kilt,. great combinations !!! Thank you so much for sharing your trip to Norway, this meeting with a local men was very touching. Congratulations to the 3 winners of the giveaway. I am looking forward to see the 4th part of your Norway trip.
Thank you very much! I am very excited for fall, which showed in how I paired my sweater with my kilts. I can't wait to share about the last part of my trip with you!
Your natural curl is gorgeous as is the natural color. I love your Karl Johan sweater. I, like you, tend to choose bright “winter” colors and never choose brown. That shade of brown was beautiful on you and makes me wonder if there are shade of brown I can wear as well. It looks like it has a lot of black in it which would suit quite well. Regardless, it looks beautiful and so classic!
You're very kind! Yes, I believe that there a shade of brown to suit everyone- cool or warm. I hope you dabble into brown and challenge yourself to explore which option is best.
Your your new hair style is definitely an upgrade! Very feminine and gives more harmonious proportions than the tight bun! Works well with your wonderful sweater, too. I knitted Midori Hirose’s White Mountain in a greyish brown colour, not being a brown type either and I love it! It’s a similar style, funnel neck , some interesting details in the raglan construction and sleeves, quickly became a favourite.
I enjoyed this video about Bergen thank you! Lovely to see all the familiar places I visited in 2019 when I attended the Bergen Strikkefestival . A fellow South African Gilly, who lives in Bergen now, is the dyer behind Fjord Fibres😊. I also enjoyed visiting the Hillesvag mill.
I love that you've been able to attend the knitting festival in Bergen and that my story telling has brought back memories of your travels. How lovely! Thank you very much for sharing.
Wonderful podcast! I can’t wait to visit Norway it’s at the top of my list and this is giving me great information! Thank you for taking the time to spend with us.
I love your natural curl and hair colour. It's gorgeous! I had a very similar curl when my hair was that length. I have hair 3/4 way down my back and it's so heavy and thick, that it pulls it quite a bit straighter, but I don't want to cut it yet because I'm losing my coppery light brown colour that is on the lower half of my hair and it's going more sandy blond (my natural version of gray apparently). And its still really pretty. Eventually I will shorten it again though.
Thanks to much for the tips! I too love to watch knitting traditions. AND I'm leaving for Norway in a couple weeks!!! Love your podcasts, Jan from a far at Nodaway Iowa.
I love your style❤. Can you share where you get all your thrifted goodies? I’m out in the West GTA. Oh your sweater is gorgeous! Must add to my queue 😊
Thank you! I attend the Toronto Vintage Show that comes up twice a year, shopping in Kensington Market and check out thrift shops when travelling. Happy thrifting!
Wow that sweater on you is fabulous. I adore the segment with “pairing “ this with other bottom options. ( btw. With my knits I never “ tuck” as I fear my hem/ribbing will stretch out when worn in waistband). Do you ever experience this? Curious. I have to say the travel you share and your enthusiasm is just great. I want to go! Congratulations on your anniversary. I have enjoyed so much . I look forward to your next installment. I realize that your school year and all the work a teacher does ( grateful for our Teachers)! Will look different but that is ok. I will still be watching. Take care. Have a good back to school week.
Sooo nice! Thank you very much. I feel fine tucking my knits into my bottoms. I haven't experienced any repercussions, but I wear rustic yarns that don't often pill. I appreciate your lovely comments about teachers. They're the best!
Hey. I am kind of new to your podcast. Started with the stavanger episode. And I am impressed by the quality of it. I try to do something similar. I have a travel knitting podcast i started this year. But it's far off from what you are doing. Can i ask you what you use for editing? How are you doing the split screen? And how do you do the thing where continue talking no matter what video is showing? I am grateful for any advice. Have a lovely day and greetings from india.
Thank you very much! I use iMovie to edit. There are features in this tool that allow for these edits. Feel free to email me, if you wish to get some more information.
