I am now. Just came back from a cruise on Prima. It inspired me to look back to memories of my trip last year on the Bliss. That in turn led me to this video, which settles it to me. The Prima has wider hallways, 10% larger staterooms, and a more picturesque spa, but the Bliss is better in literally every other way, especially the feel you get from culture on board.
We did the Alaska cruise on board the Norwegian Bliss in August 2018. Watching this video brought back a lot of happy memories. Truly a beautiful ship.
I just got off the ship after my family’s seven day Alaskan Cruise, it really is an amazing ship and worth your time and money. I will say that the pool deck is good only for 2-3 days at best, most of the time it is too cold, so if you have children that love to swim take that into consideration. Also, there is no kid pool, the minimum depth on either pool is close to 5’, so bring floaties and be willing to get in with your little ones. The food is excellent in my opinion, and Los Lobos has some amazing drinks and appetizers that shouldn’t be missed. The service on the entire ship is second to none, everyone is so friendly and helpful no matter what your request and their are amenities to take advantage of everywhere.
NCL, looks like it almost made the perfect Ship. I love the decor of NCL and RCL. Upscale but not too fancy. And yes glass Shower enclosures !!! ( Carnival please...). The only thing I wish they would have kept from the NCL Joy was the"Galaxy Pavilion" it had everything. I also hope forward facing Observation Lounges, become a thing. I really look forward to Cruising on her...
You should have way more views. Your Presentations are so Professional and Calming. I truly hope the Cruise lines appreciate you. I always look forward to seeing them...
This is the best video of a cruise ship I have ever seen. I will be on the Bliss October 5th for its inaugural cruise to the Mexican Rivera. So looking forward to it now after seeing this video. Thx NCL.
We are Avid cruise goers we sail frequently on cruise ships. We have been fortunate to sail on many cruise lines , pretty much all of them multiple times. Above and beyond we always enjoy and receive the best customer service from NCL. This cruise line in comparison to all the others provides the guest the best value for your dollar Across-the-board ! The staff and crew are like family And they treat you that way and make you feel that way. We always look with great anticipation and appreciation to our next booking with NCL
Thank you for the excellent video I really appreciate your work I enjoy your video ography. We sailed on the ship for the inaugural Panama canal sailing from Miami To Los Angeles. We booked the Penthouse aft suite. On NCL we really enjoy this suite and the location it provides a guest with one of the largest and expansive Balcony verandas.
Great video, but I have to agree with others, the narration has a weird rhythm that is so distracting it cancels out the good work. Each and every sentence ends on an almost sing-song uptone. It' like the millenial version of Valley Girl. Fix that issue and you'll be a superstar.
Excellent video! Great camera work and editing. You covered everything with adequate detail. One suggestion, please turn your voice volume up and or music volume down. I had difficulty hearing what you were saying over the music. I am on the Joy in 2021 for the Panama Canal and will book the Bliss in 2022 for Alaska. NCL has really upped their game with the level of food options and public spaces. The observation lounge is spectacular. Too bad the Joy eliminates the thermal suite though. Can’t wait to see video tours of the Encore! I’ve only been on the Breakaway but loved it! I’m also on the Star in March 2020 for a southern Caribbean cruise for 9 days. I’m looking forward to trying a smaller ship, although I didn’t find the crowds on the Breakaway too bad except for the pool area which we avoided. Plenty of water and sun at the ports!
K, look, I am *all* about the observation lounge and forward facing dining room. But I have sailed on Breakaway and Escape, and I am going to get confused every *single* time I try go to the buffet, because my brain will be so convinced that it's aft.
Thanks for another great review. One thing I noticed was the music overpowering your wonderful narration, it got better, but I found it hard to hear you over the music in the first half.
We are cruising on Bliss out of San Pedro on Oct. 27 to Mexican Riviera. I usually get a midships stateroom in case of rocky seas. (I have mild motion sickness) But they "upgraded" me from level 5 midship to 12700 category 01 (not sure what the category means) on the front of the ship. Is there much of a stability difference?
Sailed on the Bliss in March of 2019, A fabulous ship with so many amenities. Would I cruise with that ship again? I'd say no. I think the ship is too big, too crowded. It's practically a small city. If you want to book any of the extra features you better do it before you board ship. Frankly, I personally would rather book with a nice smaller ship
Just got back last night from the inaugural cruise to the Mexican riviera. The ship is beautiful. I’d have to say that 90% of the staff is very unfriendly. Not a happy bunch. The food was better than most cruises I have been on. Service was wonderful. They just need to give most of the staff attitude adjustments.
I was on the Bliss last year, and the the Prima this year. What you are describing was exactly my impression of the Prima. The Bliss felt like anything but that. Prima's staff were NCL's vacation hero cards to basically everybody, pre-filled with their names. I, for one, find this to be very offensive. For those who do not know, the vacation hero card is not a comment card, it is a praise card intended to single out one or two particular people that you encounter during your cruise, who really did something to make a major positive difference in your vacation. The waiter at the Japanese grill handed one to everyone at our table, (even though we saw him only three times), pre-filled with his own name, basically just asking us all to sign them. This was absolutely unacceptable. I can remember half a dozen from the Bliss by name, and they were a humble, happy, and helpful bunch.
My only complaint is the music is too loud. make it more of light back ground music so we can hear wht you are saying. it would be much better if your voice was more audible than the "background music".
Sorry, but when you said "La Cucina" (25:03) I laughed a lot because you said it in a way that in Spanish is similar to saying "dirty girl". Sorry for ruining your day =,)
I hope they paid you, having been on this ship (its second cruise) we were disappointed unless your mega rich. trouble finding a seat in buffet restaurant every day breakfast and lunch. if you have drinks package they load your small cabin with two crates of bottled water, if you don't use them all they bin them. not a cosy ship more mega hotel. We weren't impressed.
No way! We did the Alaska cruise on board the Norwegian Bliss in August 2018 and it was BLISSFUL. Beautiful brand new ship with lots of amenities, food and drinks fit for a King, exceptionally hospitable and skilled staff. Although there were almost 4800 paxs. and 1800 staff, there was so much space to move around. Even at the buffet you never had to queue up because it was spread out and efficiently managed. What more do you want? Getting on board on day one was a breeze and so was getting off the ship. We were a party of 32 people and it took less than 10 minutes for all of us to clear the boarding formalities. Our luggage was waiting for us at the door! On the day of disembarking we were given colour coded tags to put on our luggage and were directed to the right spot to pick it up. I am at a loss to understand what you mean by "the worst ship ever". All our fellow paxs. had nothing but the best to say about this Grand ship
