I’d love for CDCR to give custody from another country a yard to run. Don’t juke the numbers by hand picking which inmates will be in the yard. Make it a legit study and see the results.

Have you read about the Norway plan, like actually investigated the premise of and maybe talked to boots on the ground over there? Prison revolving door is getting old, we need change. I agree our leaders are more or at least equally concerned with making money instead of actually rehabilitating. Now the argument against Norway project, is you cannot have a progressive prison reform while nothing changes in the streets and in society. Tbf, Halden prisons deputy warden said in a 2017 reddit AMA that 40-45% of its inmates are non-norwegians coming from 30-35 countries I do believe US cud emulate norway prison system if they get rid of the root of the problems first, so it wud take a lot of time

Thanks brother, I have to homies that work in federal prison system, both were in the Marines than they transferred over to the fed prison system, they got to keep their rank , everything transferred over with them, they both fought in IRAQ!! My other homies were in different branches of the military as well , Army, Navy, when we would all get together and have some drinks sometimes they would get into arguments over who was the better fighting force, shit would crack me up!!! They would clown on each other hard!!

Ppl with Medicaid are required to take an Rx paid for by the State, of Narcan, if you were on opiates - ok, I can see that. But then, they were giving it to anybody with any controlled substance. When I had it temporarily, they gave me Narcan FOR VALIUM 🤦🏼♀️ Definitely a kickback scheme going on. You're 💯%.
I may have commented too early lol but I know Norway prisons are way better & the majority of offenders are well-adjusted to go back into society vs just the lock them up & treat them like sh*t. Missouri has started more psychological de-escalation vs physical force. We don't have as much of a gang issue though. My houses with all levels of men are always peaceful, 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. They have integrated everyone except PC & the hole. No matter the sexual orientation, skin color, etc. They do keep known enemies on separate sides of the 2100 cap camp. I'm not a big person at all & I have 200 grown men around me my entire shift. They knew we are short staffed so luckily there are more with morals (yeah, I said it) than without. I'm not scared. But I'm not stupid either 😉

Norway definitely could teach us things like how to run a rehabilitation system. People like to clown but the fact is they have a low repeat offenders. Anyone with a release date should be ready to integrate back into society. Otherwise it becomes a revolving door.
In Norway the criminals look like Boy Scouts compared to the population of criminals we have in CA . are you really gonna bring in some waterdown Co’s from some little waterdown country 😂
