What do you mean by REFILLABLE water contains on the water package? If refillable, why would you need multiple containers, as the various size of packages offer?
Thank you for the video. It was very informative. We booked the Haven on Escape with the UNLIMITED OPEN BAR PACKAGE for $109. I thought that we would be getting a better deal since we paid for the Haven suite. I just want to get a few glasses of Beringer wine or some Prosecco. Do I have to upgrade to the $138 package to get these? Thanks in advance!! 🍷
Our Travel Agent takes care of Us and this Package , How -YF is the package that has been added to our Booking and have yet to use it ....We just DIS-CONNECT ..... Dam They would charge Me more to open My Bottle of Wine , That's more than I would PAY for WINE ,,,,,,,,And , Cruise ON !!! PS... Holland American...
We cruise NCL all the time, but free at sea is no bargain. We pay a lot for free at sea drinks, nothing free. Free is free. Just getting nickel and dime. Oh well they got you know matter.
No - you pay it up front and it is not refundable if you don’t drink enough. If you don’t think you will consume $109.00 worth of beverages per day during the week, then you can pay a la carte for your beverages - but you will be charged the 20% gratuity at the time of purchase (so don’t accidentally tip twice - unless you really love the service!)
I'm going on my first cruise on the Norwegian Sun in February 2025. I saw all of the drinks packages were a huge ripoff and I won't be buying any of them. I mostly drink tea and coffee, I don't drink soft drinks and only occasionally drink fruit juice since I have high blood sugar and avoid sugar as much as possible. I rarely drink alcohol and 2 drinks would be my limit.
It is unlimited if you buy the package - which in 2024 is $16.50 per person per day as an add-on if you already purchased the Free-at-Sea beverage package. If you upgrade to the Ultimate beverage package (about $35 per person per day), then you get Starbucks included - plus bottled water and energy drinks, unlimited premium cocktails, beer, and wine.
You can call the line and speak with an NCL agent. My mom got hers reimbursed, even though my dad is keeping his drink package, because she medically cannot drink.
How do people afford to cruse. It’s $100+ per day per person, plus cost of excisions, plus gratuity, plus port fees, plus air gate, plus the cost of the room. Seriously it seems very expensive!!
Shop around. There are deals to be had. Royal Caribbean and Carnival are more affordable, especially when you bring your own soda and wine on board. There is no corkage fee if you consume wine in your room. Find a travel agent that will work with you. If you live near a port, find a cruise out of that port. It can be a very enjoyable experience if you plan accordingly.
I’ve heard that if you contact the cruise line you can request that the person who doesn’t drink can get a soda package. I haven’t tried it but it would be interesting to try.
@@josievojnic I believe the reason they require everyone in the same cabin over the age of 21 to purchase the drink packages is because you can get 2 drinks per transaction and you’re allowed to take drinks back to your room. They’re trying to prevent people from sharing their package.
