Those guys didn't remove it, a fisherman did. He didn't film it and he actually got in the water to do it. BBC radio did a 1 hour interview with him. This is the same beluga that has been playing with and fetching phones for tourists.
I think they TRIED but couldn't. because they reach for the clip, and every time the beluga makes a duck dive away and they cant reach for it. they also had the knife ready to cut the harness, but the beluga was too afraid. and with his history, there's no wonder why the beluga is afraid of humans...

They did, here is a national geographic article. His name is Hvaldimir: www.nationalgeographic.com/magazine/2020/06/marine-biologist-audun-rikardsen-swims-with-russian-spy-beluga-whale/
If everyone on the planet had the demeanor of a Beluga Whale, we would all be living in peace and Harmony, such loving and trusting creatures, So Beautiful!!!!
@@nathancooper4954, Yes the Smaller fish are in fact 'NOT' Mammals as the Beluga Whale's are Mammals , which in case concludes their Demise as Lunch, or dinner, Not sure if they eat them for breakfast though??🤔😂
I hope that the fisherman call for rescuers to help the little whale . So sad someone would put a harness on the beautiful creature and leave it, and what happens as it out grows the harness each day . Poor baby. Please give a follow up as to know he’ll be ok . 💔
In the video about him at Hammerfest the girl said they had put a camera on him with a harness to find out if he was actually catching any fish. That video only a couple of months after this. I don't know where this video was filmed. Didn't see a camera on him but they might have just clipped that on and off. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-roDkgbhvmsQ.html
Radio Camada International, you need to change the HEADING/TITLE of this video!! Professional journalist write accurate information and this is certainly NOT one of them. Convey the correct nformation to what this video is about..geesh!!
Come on....u would still be in the dark ages if nobody would have trained a horse, camel or a donkey.. Its not so much about mother earth you should worry but what father God has to say.
@ You are most likely correct, Hvaldimir is believed to be tained by the Russians and being used as a sort of "spy", but he's doing fine now just swimming around Norway and catching fish.
@ ....and all those reasons to no good, I mean, the various reasons. I'm not anti-russian, but against what they do - they do no good to the outside world around them.
@@keithreeder Christianity didn't help. Neither did any "organized" religion. Men created gods in their own image and wrote books about prophets, then proceeded to create their own system of right & wrong according to these "holy" books, which they interpreted to suit their own needs. I HATE organized religion. It is the creator of war, misogyny, child abuse, animal abuse....every evil you can imagine.
@Khaboob Norma-Getz-Off REALLY?! BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF HUMAN BEINGS THAT I HAVE COME ACROSS (in particular, democrats, progressives, liberals - all fucking hypocrites, possess less than plant life intelligence.
Russian Navy trained whale. They’re used to search out mines or old torpedoes. They did eventually remove the harness. You can google the full story online.
Colleen Anderson they didn’t put the harness on it. This was a Russian military trained whale that escaped. They are trying to help it get the harness off
Linda Way don’t cry! He’s living his best life now! He’s quite a charmer and I just saw a video of him stealing a guys GoPro camera and dropping it to the ocean floor, then retrieving it and giving it back to him lol He’s quite the ham!
Been to Disneyland, been to Six Flags, been to THREE county fairs. Never got sick till I watched this footage. Please find someone who is not doing anything next time to film this!
Bro... "Obvi-ously" and " , " and "interaktion". Let me try... (You could see it was trained and used to human interaction. They should have given it a herring, it obviously wanted a treat.) Although your grammer could be changed, I kept it so you could compare the difference.
So they are obviously still there feeding the whale as they didn't get to remove the harness. However, the harness has been removed as the whale has been sited in Norwegian harbours.
The whale is use to people, the men aren't fisherman, and the harness is for attaching research equipment, to study beluga behavior. No harnesses were hurt during the making of this video.
How the harness was attached there in the 1st place😢? Ist Ocra, then dolphin....rn Beluga? R yall, rich ppl gonna capture weaker humans 2 b on display later? Sick minds sia...
Sry no :), it let go of the fish at the end because he wanted something else to eat other then fish. The way he quickly let go of it and swam away is a sign of disappointment.
Please stop hating this video the whale is trained Russian spy and has good care that's why the harness can fit and its comfortable and lives at sea I think and I think they take it off when he is done training so yeah :D
Animal communication 101: send a clear image in your mind if taking the harness off. Then the beluga knows your intention. Does anyone know how a wild beluga came to have a harness on? Jacque Cousteau is rolling over in his grave!!
Dunno, to me it seems that a man that use explosives on the Ocean floor to make the creatures move around so he can film them, won't be too bothered :D
RCI, did you actually watched this entire video before posting and titling it? I'm actually surprised you even have any subscribers given your dishonest click bait tactic.
I'm glad I kept forwarding. At least I did not completely waste my time. Just like the many comments here, nope, they did not remove the harness in the video. Maybe they did after, but not in this video.
Click bait, how could you leave that harness on that poor whale?! That was most definitely put on by a human being intentionally, there’s no way it was an accident
Ash He didn’t put it on himself 😊 he has an interesting story, they believe he was a Russian military trained whale (I think he’d swim around with video cameras etc). They are trying to take it off him
Interesting, I've heard about the programs that both the US and Soviets ran using belugas (they're incredibly smart and quick witted even amongst whales(very expressive too) the Ukraine picked it up but showed little interest. Then Russia started buying a bunch of young belugas recently. So are likely training them again. I believe the USA still has a number of trained dolphins and belugas. This is the first time I've seen direct evidence of it though. The beluga is clearly trained. It zipped over as soon as they started calling and popped up mouth open expecting to be fed. The harness looked pretty new so I doubt it needed to be removed. It could also belong to a cetacean research group. I've heard that a number of trained belugas who couldn't be released into the wild have been adopted by such orgs. Or those whove had their hearing damaged(like the pilot whale Sully) one way or the other. Pretty friendly guy, got the feeling he didn't want them to take the harness off though. Should have fed him then he might have let you
These fishermen must see belugas on a regular basis. Not much of a reaction from them when a beluga happened to casually swim up to their boat. Whereas if it was almost anyone else they would be like, "WOW! Omg look at that! This is sooo unbelievable!"
Why do I get angry when I see videos like this? Because its bloody clickbait. I ONLY watch these videos if they have a good outcome and this one does not. This video gets a thumbs down from me.
It's happy in the wild, it's friendly, what else do you want. Calm down you people... Harnesses don't harm dogs and horses, the whale is not some kind of an exception.
@@bshthrasher Really? I guess I've just never noticed those 2 areas of narrowing on beluga's torsos before. I'm sure it isn't restrictive nor uncomfortable.
You think that perfectly fitting harness was on it by accident? I bet it escaped from some Rockefeller lab and the assholes were trying to leash it and drag it back.
