We were just on Norwegian Joy to Bermuda. What a beautiful ship! And true that people enjoy to relax while on the ship although there ware constant activities going on. The shows were amazing and incredible. Love the ship and the staff!
Really stinko. Within the past couple weeks we just booked for June on this ship. Part of the reason for selecting were these entertainment areas that the kids could enjoy. Before booking I spoke directly with ncl and not once did they mention these changes. So now I'll have a 6 and 7 year old without these venues.
We went last July on the Joy and loved it. Especially the observation lounge, the Vibe beach club, go carts... Not surprised that the laser tag is being removed, never saw anyone there and the VR pavilion was outdated. Not as modern as Area 15 in Vegas. Can't wait to see the improvements on June 2nd, sailing to Bermuda:-)
Hey Brandon, Great video as always… I’ve sailed on the Joy once and it was right after cruising opened back up in 2021… Definitely a beautiful ship both inside and out…. The art work on some of Norwegian’s ships are incredible… I can’t wait to see the art work on AQUA in person.. Major NCL fan here so maybe I’m a bit biased lol
thank you! I agree shes very beautiful, and her hull art is my favorite in the fleet! Been a while since ive cruised NCL, I have a long wait but cant wait to get back on NCL when I sail on Joy in feb 2026!
Well that kinda sucks. We're considering a cruise on Joy this summer - and one of the things that really was selling me on the cruise was the Galaxy Pavilion that I could do with my son.
Was given the option to cruise this ship for 2025, i was exited to see the galaxy pavilion as something to do. Reconsidering booking now as the relaxation suite is nothing to me and there isnt much else on the ship i consider value for myself.
Great video Brandon. She's a great looking ship. I'm hoping we start hearing more about the Discovery project and the possibility of future mega ships for Carnival soon.
not the entire thing, the parts on the side that were mostly hallways were converted to cabins. The main area at the front is still there and unchanged
I really hate this, im a teenager myself and I went on the Joy in July I was bored as it was but then they took away the only thing teens like me had. Galaxy Pavillion was fun, I did the Karts and it was really funny, the observation lounge was the entourage hang-out place. Im going back on the Joy in August, on an even longer cruise
Joy could definitely use an additional pool, but adding one would take a lot of structural work to my knowledge unlike adding a waterslide like some cruise lines will do. Carpets are typically replaced and deep cleaning are done as well during drydocks, they just fall into the "routine" category so its not talked about as much as the other changes
God Norwegian absolutely sucks… why does it feel like every time they make a decision it’s totally anti-consumer. I don’t understand why anyone would want to pay more money for an experience that is nowhere near as good as on competing cruise lines for something that’s in the standard fair. Beach club is literally the solarium except worse… everything on Norwegian is an additional cost, but at the same time the base fares are not cheap either?? I just don’t get it
