Both are beautiful and incredible in their way of representing Norwegian love and patriotism , the first represents love and justice , the second represents the monarchy tradition that the crown should have 🇧🇷💙🇳🇴 Eu amo a Noruega !

Pretty much the Internationale of monarchism yes. Though it definitely makes sense in he Norwegian context, as Norway’s first modern independent king, Haakon VII (for whom this anthem was written in 1906) was married to Maud of Wales, the daughter of King Edward VII of the U.K.

Because this tune is the same tune used in Last Night of the Prom, this arrangement was made by Benyamim Britten in 1961 (afaik)

It is not similar - text apart, it is identical to the one used in the Proms in 2012. It was also Queen Elizabeth II's favourite arrangement of "God save the Queen", reportedly.

This is not the Norwegian national anthem. The national anthem is called "Ja vi elsker" which is totally different. This is the royal anthem, which yes, as you say, has the same melody as the UK's "God Save the King".

It’s the Norwegian Royal Anthem (the National Anthem is a different song)… The melody is used in many countries to various lyrics…. It was the melody to the Swedish Royal Anthem as well before the current one was written

This is the Benjamin Britten arrangement... but the David Willcocks arrangement is way better in my opinion.

The melody is used in many countries to various lyrics… In USA it is known as ”My Country ’Tis of Thee”

Actually the melody comes from a French song. But I get it cause it sounds so majestic and beautiful, no matter which version or language

@@thomasshaughnessy9023 it's sad too see so many people against monarchies, but i guess they did kind of shape their reputation during the 16-17 centuries, but kings and queens are a big part of nordic culture going all the way back to the Viking age and the king here is democratic as when Norway became independent from Sweden there was a vote that said something along the lines of: Should Norway remain a Kingdom? And i belive over 70% voted yes, so they king here isn't a tyrant like some people seem to think all kings are he is more along the lines of a saint
