It's our first time docking in Ward Cove, the Norwegian Cruise Line port located a few miles outside Ketchikan! Join us for some port exploration, followed by a shuttle bus ride downtown, then a quest to find the Misty Fjords by Wilderness Explorer boat!! :P

Welcome to an ambitious adventure that we're calling "Around The World In 80ish Days" which takes us to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Iceland, the British Isles, France, and Bermuda over the course of 81 days of travel and 7 different cruises! This fourth leg of the trip is a crazy one... sixteen days onboard the recently-refurbished Norwegian Spirit, starting in Honolulu with a Hawaiian Islands cruise, crossing the Pacific Ocean for five days, sailing around Alaska for a while, then ending in Vancouver, Canada... let's do this thing!! :D

The difference in color could be due to depth and density of water(salt vs less salt). The wiggle line was the Loch Ness Monster.

A very good possibility would be a small gust of wind. From how still the water was, it looked dead still. In these conditions, even the slightest breeze would stir up the water. As a sailor, that was my first thought.

Good morning. The water will look different sometimes when you cross two different bodies of water. Example might be if you were sailing from the bay/gulf to the ocean. Thank you for sharing this adventure.

Good morning, catching up, have been in your neck of the woods, Virginia Beach for two weeks, granddaughter’s graduation. I enjoy having lamb on the cruises, my husband is highly allergic to lamb,(hospital run if even a knife becomes in contact with it) I don’t even buy it to avoid this!

Maybe I missed it, but did you do any specialty dining besides the sushi rolls when you went to Silk? I’m looking for a Cagney’s review. Do you know any episodes I can check out for Cagney’s?

Heyo! The only pay options we tried at Silk was sushi, yes. Everything else was from the included menu the nights we ate there. We’ve done Cagney’s on our NCL Breakaway series and our NCL Escape series, I know. Those might be the only two times we’ve eaten there, oddly enough!! :D

I ate at Cagney’s on my recent NCL Escape cruise in February and it was by far the best meal we had on our entire trip and rivaled some top tier steak houses in NYC, where I live. 👍🏻

For the most part, Dee’s photos were taken with a 40x zoom point and shoot camera, not a phone. The vlog camera only goes to 4x for video sake, sadly!! :P
