I'm convinced that if more people traveled like this we would have far fewer prejudices and problems in the world. Thank you for sharing this human scale perspective of traveling. Amazing.
Curious if you noticed any signs noting whether a species was endangered or invasive? Learned recently that lionfish are apparently invasive in a lot of spots so folks there are trying to drum up consumer interest in an attempt to help other fish populations.
Erin Brodwin that is a great question. I try to be super cognizant of things like that as well. I didn’t see anything (or maybe I did and didn’t understand it) but I’ll definitely look into it!
Reporting for Leisure so nice! I can only speak for what I got but I believe it is a certain amount per the amount of people you have as they just double or triple the amount of fish. But about $10 usd for my meal!
What a cool experience. I don't think I've ever been to a market where you buy your seafood and have it sent immediately to the restaurant to cook. Thank you for sharing this experience and daring to learn how to eat well at this market!
Empathetic Wanderers I really like salmon and sea bass. But also not a fan of spicy things so that might be an issue in South Korea. But love your adventures and willingness to try new food!
Okay absolute fav video of yours so far! Seriously SO GOOD. Video quality is amazing, music choices are unreal, but what struck me most are the people you encountered. So so so proud of you. Your vulnerability, humility, and graciousness makes people WANT to help you... yes, they are empathetic, 100%! But also, you connect with them on a different level that enables them to tap into that empathy. Absolutely love watching these videos. Let’s keep wandering ❤️❤️
Megan Sherman so happy to hear this! That is the hopeful thing that connects all my videos. As we are all connected! Ever thought about visiting Korea?
Yes! When I was in Korea couple years back and I’m not familiar with public transportation and I always looked flustered reading the bus routes and the locals definitely came to rescue me every time every time I had worried look on my face 😆
Germany was the place where I had more than a few very kind people take me by the hand (literally in some cases! ha) and lead me to a good place to eat or guide me through a menu. Food is truly universal 😊
Empathetic Wanderers I was mostly in the Stuttgart and Esslingen areas as well as a visit to Neuschwanstein castle - and odd as it sounds I gotta say I recommend seeing the castles (Esslingen castle has beautiful grounds and structures and some of the most amazing views!)
