Give me 1 day Just to wake up again early mornings and hear the owls and the birds , just to walk downstairs turn the tv on to these commercials with my gogurt
Shit. I miss being a kid now. Grew up in the 2000s watching Saturday morning cartoons, playing ps2, and just watching VHS movies. I wanted so desperately to grow up as a kid, and now that I'm 20 I'm really letting it all sink in. Life sucks. But I'm glad I get to look back on my childhood with fondness and try to give that to my children.
Same age, same activities and devices plus Sega. I wished I was older back then and now I miss being younger. Over a decade ago, all my loved ones were alive. No responsibility other than school, and school was sometimes nice besides the homework. The economy was way better even tho I started complaining about it at 7. I had way more life and optimism back then. Now I have a full time job with bills and a bunch of chores I'm always behind on, with just a few hours of restless free time in between work and sleep. As most things in the world keep falling apart rapidly. The strength, wisdom and morality I acquire every year is worth growing up, but just barely. : (
Little older at 22 about to be 23 but did all the same things although I played on the original Xbox, I played on the 360, I played on the PS1, PS2 and PS3, and I watched VHS as well. It sucks that I had to grow up as soon as I did but I wouldn't change it even if I could. It made me who I am today

14:20 is crazy looking back. The way Happy Meals were marketed on the lines of ‘brighten your day with the goodness of apples and milk!’ was nothing short of marketing genius. Sinister, but genius. Like there’s a 10 yr girl w a storm cloud over her head who’s cheered up by her mom getting her mcdonalds. Cannot be any more on the nose.

Bionicles were so awesome and the trailers were hype! Lacuna Coil and The All-American Rejects doing collaborations with them too. Late 90’s and early 2000’s were just the best. All the great rock music getting played and where it was more popular than a lot of other genres was perfect too. Big reason why I’m a metal head and enjoy most rock music to this day.

@@Inf4m0us555 I've been longing to see the bionicle commercials in 2000 compilations for some time now, so I can't tell you how taken aback I was to see it first thing that I audibly exclaimed and then began doing an air guitar to Creeping in my Soul. Felt like a kid again for a brief moment.
Ah the adult swim-CN transition, a reminder from the days of staying up all night and being free from the fever dream like shows of early morning adult swim and coming home to the bangers that came on early on CN.
i'm an Australian 2000s kid who grew up just watching ABC networks, so i don't relate to a lot of these. i grew up more with stuff like Mister Maker, Dirtgirl, Ruby Gloom, old Garfield specials and watching stuff on the internet, but even then, a few like Silly Bandz, the Club Penguin ad (despite never having played it), Wizard 101 and Trash Pak brought me back, man :) people used to trade and collect Trash Paks all the time at my primary school and put them on their pencils, and i remember seeing people either trading Silly Bandz or making bracelets with these things called Loom Bands all in a circle together. does anyone also remember Squinkies? they were kinda the same deal like Trash Pak, but they were these cute tiny little characters, usually animals and fairy-type things. i also remember Mighty Beans being a thing. they were these bean-looking capsules with metal balls in them, and their whole schtick was that you were supposed to roll them down a track and they'd race each other. people used to bring Zhu Zhu Pets to school too and they'd race them around or just show them off. it was nicer back then :)
It feels like there was more effort and heart put into entertainment back then, the escapism was the best! Things now a days seems souless and half assed. It's like the more technology gets advanced, the less people try and really make things good and genuinely entertaining. The compensations we made back then for the lack of high tech made us try way harder and the results were amazing. It was like the movie Avatar was the start of the end because everyone wanted that quality and they never stopped to think about the story or how real and aesthetically pleasing practical effects can be. Look at Spider-Man 2, that movie was a perfect mixture of CG and practical effects and it looked amazing for its time and the story was so good too! In my opinion, the 90's and the 2000's were the best times for escaping reality when needed. Now I can never escape because everything is political and completely transparent to the motive of the corporations funding everything. As much as this saddening, we still have places like RU-vid and the Internet Archives to escape all the madness and I'm very grateful for that. Maybe someday we'll regain the soul we lost.
I’m so glad I grew up in the early 2000s, I can die happy knowing that. Also the bionicle commercials were always goated and had a great selection of music
Just turned 29. 20 years later. If I'd known what I was gonna be up against once I crossed 18. I would've went so much harder as a kid. But I was too focused on getting grown to do... whatever the hell I'm doing now.
I would do the same but I would rather not go back to getting abused and neglected and being stripped naked and beaten by anything and thrown in a freezing cold shower while being hit by a belt... I was robbed of a childhood all just to grow up and to be treated like shit by the people that claim to care about me...
Oh man I remember the Apple and Cinnamon commercials. It started off as the Apple always trying to get into the cereal first before Cinnamon but then later on, they became friends and entered the cereal together
I can't let these times go my friend told me I was having a mid life crisis like I really have metal issues that were more manageable when I was younger & these ads take me back to that time....God help me

I’m sad that this period is over but I’m grateful I got to grow up in such an amazing time period and got to watch beautiful cartoon made with heart and not driven by profit
Almost 26. Going through bunch of stuff. Watching this reminds me how fun my time was. Kids treasure your childhood and friends. You will look back and will miss a bunch of things and other things i can't describe. Childhood is once of a lifetime. Enjoy while it lasts.
As a kid, I would just be so impatient for how many commercials came on, I wouldn’t think then that I would be watching almost a 40min video of mostly ads lol
My god, the Bionicle commercial went hard in soo many ways. Deep Sea $hit, borderline Lovecraft, Golden mask like the King in Yellow, Ocean origin of all life, sick theme for literally no reason... Man I want to go back...

Also born in 1990. I remember my Gameboy color, my Sega Genesis, when the first KH came out, when we stopped using floppy disks, when DVDs became mainstream, being sent home from school on 9/11 and watching that footage on TV, playing with my bike and my Skip-it, my Easy Bake oven, running home after school to watch Toonami which was playing things like Tencho Muyo, DBZ, Gundam Wing and Outlaw Star…I guess I’m one of the old people now, but I still feel young at heart.
