One of the best scenes in Babes In Toyland is when Tom is doing the song as the old gypsy and he keeps twisting Barnaby’s fingers and slapping his hands and just giving him all sorts of abuse. Still makes me giggle.
When he talked about Darby O'Gill's sense of community and wanting to know the character's more, I was reminded of Waking Ned Devine, appropriately another movie taking place in Ireland.
In my experience, at least, programmers view thing like tron as pure fiction, because they are almost completely disconnected from the programmer's view of a computer. The sequel at least TRIED, with small hints to show you that it was a real computing environment, and not just a magical, distant land, but it falls into the same catagory, as do all these movies inherently. It also falls down in story in my opinion, so I think it was pretty bad.
I LOVED HOCUS POCUS AS A KID, AND STILL LOVE IT NOW. AND I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT IT. I THINK IT IS AWESOME. A HALLOWEEN CLASSIC. AND I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS IT.
I know you posted this comment 4 years ago so you probably found the song eventually, but it's one of the songs from the soundtrack of Dinosaur. I don't know what the songs name is, but you should be able to find it easily knowing which movie it's from.
22:27 Still better than _Cool Cat Saves the Kids_ , and that came out less than half a decade ago! (It wasn't even out when this Disneycember was released, for example.) 28:16 Somehow, he went from this... to voicing Whoville's version of Wilford Brimley who sounds like a tired Liam Neeson most of the time, and occasionally like a bad impression of Billy Connolly. Oh, what a cruel mistress time is. :( 3:01:13 Well, you probably won't like _The Adventures of Milo & Otis_ - that movie has a *pug* going up against a bear! That is brutal.
I saw Tron and really liked it, even more because it embodies the struggle between mainframe makers like IBM and smaller companies focusing on the development of the PC like Steve Jobs and crew. The Master Control Program was the huge, controlling, mass of information like the mainframes of IBM and Tron was the small, homemade program that threatened the existence of the mainframes. Tron Legacy has none of that. It lacked the stakes and epic Star Wars-like scale that made Tron great. Also, James Cameron totally stole the idea for SkyNet from Tron.
Tron is kind of like Serial Experiments Lain, both movies/shows has the same kind of set-up with a world inside the computers. However, the latter is in my opinion a much bigger mindfuck and you really have to think hard about the show that you are watching.
I graduated from high school last year and I have to say the HSM movies are bull shit! Over the course of my schooling we only ever broke into song once!
Luckily for me, I got my idea of what high school would be like from _The Buzz on Maggie_- which, granted, is a bit exaggerated, but at least the students didn't break into song at every other minute.
@@ARCtheCartoonMaster Yeah the Buzz on Maggie was awesome especially the theme song. I can still remember every word cause it was so catchy and I love the message it conveys too.
Why didn't you put in "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves," that is defiantly a sequel to "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids" and you never reviewed that. (Please don't mind the quotes, I only put them there so everyone could see the titles.) I get that you didn't review the sequels to "The Mighty Ducks" and I especially understand why you didn't review "High School Musicals 1 and 2." However, if you're going to do reviews on both the original movies and the sequels, like you said you would, I expect you to do your research and do all sequels like you said. I'm probably being nit picky, like that guy who is nit picky in you're nostalgic screw ups. But I think I should tell you now to prevent that from happening.
I don't know, he can do whatever he feels he can. I was thinking of a month of catching up with all the new Disney content. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait til December to find out.
Really, "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves" was never in theaters, just straight to video. I didn't think movies could do that. I always thought people had to have movies be in theaters first and then after that, they sell movies in stores. Can people really do that.
I cannot believe Doug actually liked one of the High School Musical movies, it literally made me almost lose control in rage and disappointment, screaming "WHAT THE FUCK!?" I was restraining myself from turning off the video and stop watching the Nostalgia Critic all together like some toxic kid. You won't believe what it was like to be a kid who hated the franchise so much at the time when it was popular, I was treated like a total outcast. People silenced me and made fun of me so much for my "unpopular" opinion, it wasn't even funny, as if every kid in my elementary school was an obnoxious bully like what Doug described the message of 'Hocus Pocus.' And that's just a long story short. If any of you guys want to hear more of my story, just reply to this comment.
Hey man, an opinion is an opinion. Not everybody likes everything and not everybody hates everything. Sometimes it may seem hard to understand why their opinion is different, but you have to realize, not everyone can accommodate every opinion of all people.
333Rich333 - 10 hours (CANCELED) You don't say. But like I said, you guys won't know what it was like for someone who hated the movies at that time, at that particular age. I was bullied to the point where it wasn't even funny. Its all behind me now, yet I still remember the cruelty like it was yesterday.
Bobby Elias I was always kicked out of every group I wanted to join, and was always left alone from 1st grade, all the way until I went to a prestigious High School so I could avoid them. I now enjoy school life more than home life. I am currently a Senior now.
