I am super excited!!!! Jumping Jack Flash, our nostalgia front engine dragster is really coming along! Fast Eddie laid down some awesome paint on the body panels and the wheels are in! These wheels are awesome, new chrome rims freshly laced with vintage Cragar hubs! They really look awesome with the rear Halibrand Sprints out back. This thing is really starting to "pop". I dig the freshly polished engine plate and vintage Moon fuel tank. Check out that seat cover, that red diamond pattern really looks freaking awesome! I think I have nailed the vintage look so far, what do you think? Old school cool? Let me know what you think!
Okay, time to quit patting myself on the back, time to get to work. In this video, the beginning stages of final assembly begins. Jimmy and I are focused on safety in this video, brake lines, installing the Simpson parachute and driver's restraint, and making sure that all fits right. When it comes to safety, I did not skimp on safety, that is why we chose Simpson. Speaking of safety, Jimmy and I ordered new fire suits and protective gear, I will make a video on that when it all arrives. We are making a ton of progress, but all these little things do take a ton of time and you can't overlook that. We have a tight timeframe to get licensed and our dragster just got certified. We chose to certify through IHRA seeing most of the tracks we will be drag racing at are IHRA sanctioned. The chassis certified for 7.50 sportsman, which is fast! Muck more work to do, stay tuned.. 2 Hacks Garage is about to get really fast! I really want to do a lot of heads up match racing with this, that is right up my alley. Be there or be square!
