great episode! imo this feels like kumar is one of the rare few guests that doesnt let johnathan "influence" him on the podcast. Tells his stories matter of factly at his own pace, and doesnt't get side tracked at attempts to "spice up" his answers.
on the contrary, i find jon paul the most empathetic and insightful. i rmb watching some good saves from him where if i recall he helped others not look bad in a bad situation. thus he has always been my favorite questioner (and listener). but of course these are just our individual opinions and we may be talking about different jons haha
Honestly, it's one of the most raw and uplifting episodes from TDK. The topics discussed had a plethora of local nuances that spread over generations, yet everyone at the table (and of course us listening) could relate to them. TDK should consider making Kumar a permanent fixture on the show!
Was at a crosswalk at orchard when I overheard a teenage boy complaining to his friend. “My mother spend a thousand dollars on a bag. $200 also she wont give me”. At the moment I understood how the boomers felt about us Millennials. That aside, OMG ITS KUMAR!!!!!!!!!!!
Cannot agree more with Kumar about Free Loaders. After many years of organising great garden parties, some of my guests who came 3 ,4 or 5 times had never invited me & my husband to their homes, not even for a cup of tea, I decided no more parties. These people have no understanding about friendship. Its both ways - not one way !
love the vid! wished it were longer also don’t quite get why there needs to be three cams feels abit, choppy and hard to watch. think two angles surely is sufficient to make cuts
Suggestion, please EQ your mics during post-production editing, cos the Lows are way too over for Kumar's mic, btw, my sound is hook up to a pair of subs, thats why :)
Went for his show opening today, it was amazing. The fact that he wasn’t afraid to say stuff made it really funny. It was really unscripted he improvised on the spot and interacted with the audience
Dang .. to think I've watched him in Boom Boom Room and sabo-ed to go on stage, watched him Haw Par Villa ... old sia .. BBR, Hard Rock Cafe and Zouk were like rites of passage for those in NS
I think Kumar is a natural commedian even off the stage. His witty mind and the way he say things just makes things funny. Is really a talent. I have seen other comedians off screen. They are hell serious and boring.
kumar is one and only stand up comedian whom i respect.. if u see most of his comedy, he usually put his mic away when he make a joke n use vulgar like F word.. n some word like c**k, he dont even say out loud like some.. hes good.. on a side note, first time seeing this group.. great host and u guys are good looking
my cousin married an indian man and had a son , very beautiful baby boy , my dad .....looked at the boy , in front of everyone , "wah very handsome, but dont worry la , when he grow up will become fairer wont be so dark" 🤦🏻♂ waaaaallannnn ehhhhhhhh. my counsin she rolled her eyes so damn hard , i gave her a very very apologetic look
29:40 Darlie was a China company , yes last time was called Darkie. China even had a commercial i think was about washing machine, black person goes in white person comes out in the end !
People need to realize that the atypical attributes that are classified into LGBTQ are not necessarily combined in neat little groups, such as transgender means straight person born into wrong gender. There are straight cross-dressers, homosexual crossdressers, crossdressers who identify as the gender they were born as or not. There are transgender MTF who are sexually attracted to females, FTM who are sexually attracted to males. And even sexual attraction can be include characteristics from both genders but still not be bisexual.
Tht why he's Smart..once he's chge his gender..n entire self He won't able to put foods on table. And remain as he is.phyiscally..he still can Act in different character as An Actor N still dress up As drag on stage.n make jokes. Tht was a very wise decision..
Everybody be talking Covid changed them but why i dont feel any different, i was just in end of my highschool then came to school just to write exam then bye. No change leh
it's just schooling life. everything is slow and relatively repetitive.. things will become fast and change will be then only constant as you grow up.. i was being told like this in the past. it's becoming true...
Maybe I'm too used to listening to your podcasts but I find that there are too many camera cuts for the videos... Still really appreciate your content!
