not every state allows gambling, horse racing could be allowed,. HHR its exactly what is is,, Historical horse racing. when you hit the spin button, a horse is selected and you are betting on past house races, its no different than going to the "horse track ' and make bets. hope that kind of explain it.....

Loved the video. I play HHR here in nh a lot was hoping you would have explained it a bit more. Like why increase your bet from 10 to 20 $ when it has no effect on the bonus round just line hits? Or are the bonus rounds predetermined? Or because there is no random generator how do the odds compare? Or a your chances better if there are more people playing or less. Things like that. It's funny because all the Pinball features you won ended up with the same configuration of reels: the Pinball and blue 7 on each reel, with Pinball on Top | Middle | Top. Just a fun quirk of the programming when they built this machine.

I live in Tennessee, so I have to travel several hours to gamble. I typically go to Tunica, Mississippi just because the drinks are free at those casinos. Bristol Virginia is building a Hard Rock, I can also travel to NC to gamble, but I'm not a fan of the tribal casinos there. Ive recently started going to Kentucky because it's a 2 hour drive (versus 4.5 hours to MS) and I've had really great luck playing the HHR machines there. They have a LOT of the games I play in class 2 casinos, but no tables. I have only been 3 times and all my food and rooms are comped. The facility is super clean, staff are friendly, the rooms are NICE and the steakhouse is amazing. I'm so happy you showcased an HHR slot!!! Hopefully the facility i go to in KY will get a Pinball!

I live in the Louisville KY area. We regularly go to Derby City Gaming, which is the HHR facility owned by Churchill Downs. I can vouch for your comments about it being easier to win. Only downfall here is that handpays start at $600. But, I had 18 handpays in 2023 and I rarely bet more than $5. 2023 was a very profitable year for me at HHR. Not so much at regular casinos.

I travel to the oak the it was explained to me was it's a 30x your bet if you're nailing $600 win bonuses off of a $2.00 or less it will be a hand pay. I've nailed a bzzf (bao zhu zhao fu) with a 1340 bonus expected to be a hand pay, but it wasn't at a $24 bet. I was super curious I had to ask.

I was shocked to see last weekend that Wyoming Downs now has 9 line Pinball machines. I did get the Pinball bonus within 2 minutes of playing it. I noticed that some of the newer machines are telling you how much the payouts are for the different amounts that you play and some of the lower bets if you hit are higher pays than the higher bets at WD when you put your money in. I also thought you were from around the Riverton area. LOL I'm in RS. I have thought about this in the past but, I think the next time I go to Wendover I might have to take a trip to Jackpot for the day. Thanks for the content and honest info. 💜🎰

Only close machines near me are HHR. And after having just been to Vegas it's hard to tell the difference while playing. Visually doing the same stuff and still random. Big difference is the smaller bets giving big payouts, but I feel like less "medium" size wins. Some HHR games I can play for a long while on small denoms. Thx for the vids, until your vids I didn't realize what HHR was!

HHR is actually pretty good, especially in Virginia. I see a lot of big wins, and we're talking at least $10,000+, from the HHR machines in Virginia. And the games that don't normally have a progressive jackpot (like Stinkin' Rich, for example) have hit for tens of thousands of dollars on really small bets like $1 and $2. Also the machine only locks up if your win is both over $600 and over 300x the bet, which makes for big wins that would normally be handpays at a casino. $2000 win on $8 bet, without it locking up for a W-2G? Yes please!

HHR is just a different way to generate random numbers (not perfectly random, but random enough for the purpose). The software that controls HHR and regular slots doesn’t care from where these random numbers came from. The only difference is a legal definition.

I was at the El Cortez in Vegas three weeks ago and I played that type of Pinball. However, I didn't notice if there was a horse race, but it was the same machine. I got the bonus several times, but unfortunately, I was only betting 25 cents. Yet, I was stunned as to how many times I got the bonus. Along with a large number of line wins, I walked away with a profit. Give it a try, I hope they show up at other casinos in Vegas.

I rarely win on HHR machines. Heck, I rarely win on normal RNG slots 😂 I love watching Brantley play the slots. NH is strictly HHR machines. Encore Casino in Boston, MA are RNG slots, Mohegan Sun Casino & Foxwoods Casino are both in Connecticut and are RNG slots.

Hey so I've actually played a machine that looks exactly like this at my local casino in WI. The only differences are it was multi denom from 25c up to (I think) $2. The other difference is it played exactly like regular pinball where you only have to get 1 Pinball symbol on 3rd reel line. I should point out that this was a single Payline also. So is the one I was playing HHR or an actual slot? PS I did actually trigger the Pinball bonus and got 5 Pinballs. I seem to remember all I think I was betting was 75c because it said on the machine you had to bet 3x to qualify for Pinball symbol.

Nevada does not have HHR. Only a select few states do. HHR devices will also never be in a casino because the house retains no profit from the devices. They are unique to OTB's (Off Track Betting facilities) So if it has the word "Casino" on the building, its not going to have HHR

on HHR the amount of the bonus is predetermined by the result of the race in which you hit the bonus. On traditional class 3 pinball, each shot is random.

The jackpot limit is typically higher and every state is different. Ive had line hits over $1300 and not had the game lock up but any win over $5000 tax is mandatory. So it depends on your state.

I won around $850 in Kentucky at an HHR facility and it was a handpay. The slot tech told me that since gambling was technically illegal in Kentucky, any win $600 or over required a W2G and is taxable.

Horse racing requires w2g if win is $600 or more and at least 300x wager amount. It is the same as lottery games. Bingo and slot machines are both $1200 or more regardless of wager size.

What is the payback percentage on HHR machines? Are all locations (Evanston, Cheyenne, Casper, Thermopolis) all have the same pay percentage, and who oversees them to make sure they are playing fair?

So HHR doesn't have individual "payback percentage" you are correct that they would be all the same across the board as your playing in a prize pool with other players. HHR is also one of the few forms of gambling where the "house" the OTB actually doe not retain any profit from the games. They only get kick backs from the state when there is a winner. Much how lottery works. The state gaming commission is the one that over sees Parimutuel Wagering. The facilities that house them not only have zero control, but they are rooting for you to win. @@CowboySlots Thank you for clearing that up. I am on the fence with HHR. Every time I have been in one of those places, I don't see many people winning anything. Last time I was in a WY downs, spinning .50 cent bets, the machine said "Huge win" and it paid out a whole $3.75. After that I have been hesitant to walk in one again.

I played some historical gaming machines this past week in Lexington Kentucky. A man next to me won $2300 on an All Aboard machine and didn’t have to pay taxes (no hand pay)?? What’s up with that?

HHR is state controlled for taxes, so every state is different. Slots are federal. In a nut shell, obviously tax code is a lot more in depth.

I was a little bummed when I found out that my two favorite slots at my local tribal casino were determined solely on the bingo cards. It doesn't make them any less fun to play, but I play them less often now.

I have played the regular pinball and did not like it. Looking at this video, I don't see much difference in play. Needless to say. I won't play pinball again.
