@Cromarkar Dude.... Boecklin is the man...... His splash work is intense, not too mention his style is as tight as an asian virgin... He's such a tight drummer.
I love how this guy has some fucking power in his playing, not like most of xtreme death metal drummers these days who hardly even hit the drum, relying on triggers...
yeah i guess you are right, if it does work, which he seems to be able to play just fine with it, then i guess there really is no problem with it, i am here by taking back my previous comment
@baphomet1989 It's because he's mostly self taught. A lot of people will cry watching him play and scream "BAD TECHNIQUE", but if bad technique lets him drum this good who gives a fuck. *disclaimer* I am currently drunk. No flameing me :)

i only started listening to this band a month or two ago and this drummer is a beast its just pure power I'm not sure yet if I'd say he's better than Dave Mclain from Machine Head though
alll of these drummers are just tapping away!! check out foo fighters, or acdc or any rock band, its not how many little stupid rolls you can fit in, its about the heavy vibe... gooodddddd
I dont bout u's but he may seem arkward cause he's actually hitting the drums with some force instead of the usual soft tap by other hardcore drummers.

@dedmit Most 1 year drummers don't have a double bass pedal nor the skill to use one, let alone can they do the alternating pattern (1-2 1 1-2 1) at that speed. The sound quality here isn't that great anyway.
@dedmit and even if it would be simple, it still fits in with the songs groove. if you want technique, listen to death metal and don't critisize dedvildriver, its the best band ever ;-)
not trying to bitch about you. But it is more importent that the whole feeling to the song is right. You can have the most crazy drum lines on the planet...but if nothing fits on it , it 'll still suck ;) you know what i mean?
what you've just said means fuck all, having signature sticks, cymbals drums etc means fuck all when it comes to skill. Chris Adler is good, you can't take that away from him, but its the fact that he claims to try and be different yet the way he plays it looks as though he's overplaying and really trying to set himself apart. sorry if you disagree
Adler is good, Boecklin is better. This is my opinion based on chops alone. They both write drum parts perfectly to the riffs and vocals. I think Boecklin's drums carry devil driver songs. They sound like a band who writes around the drums. Both awesome drummers though.
