Not animal and not plant? What are you, Euglena? What is Euglena? This is a short microscope video to give an introduction to the basics of euglena, focusing on the fact, that euglena is plant and animal at the same time. The video also shows the fascinating behaviour of Euglena sanguinea, a species of euglena forming thick layers of cells on the surfaces of ponds and lakes turning the water seemingly into blood.
