The replacement plants you got for your dying pots are called vincas and going to do amazing. When they come to seed, just take them and spread them in the same pot for more flowers. They love the heat, I’m in Texas

Gorgeous orchids! A couple of my Dendrobiums are getting enormous with long spikes of flowers. I hang mine & tie them to the hanger to keep the canes upright. I’m going to try to transport them to Orchid Club for judging so will have to clip the spikes securely to wire stakes!

At time stamp 18:48 or so you are talking about something eating your flowers. I used to live in Pembroke Pines, FL and I had a similar issue at one time. I discovered the culprits were one of two critters. 1. Snails and slugs or 2. Iguanas. Solutions: 1. Snail and Slug bait found at Home Depot. Put it in the pots. It won't hurt the orchis. 2. Get a dog that likes to hunt. My lab used to love to hunt the iguanas. In our time there she caught a good 6 or 7. Unfortunately they reproduce very quickly. So I ended up making a shade house and iguana proofed it with chicken wire and bird spikes. These helped but didn't completely eliminate the problem. Good luck. Love your videos! ❤

Very nice haul! So many pretty flowers! Sooo jealous of your Vanda testacea! I got one from Bernard (BL) over the winter, it was in bloom, but shipping to the Midwest getting lost in transit I lost the spike and all the roots. It’s recovering nicely! Can’t wait for it to flower! One of my favs!

Vandas leaves tend to get a little spotty when there not in a green house I notice definitely spray though.
