The Hwy Patrol and ALL P.D.’s have a very certain code of conduct, and his unprofessionalism and verbal diarrhea can and SHOULD have disciplinary consequences. I agree with the OP. He should’ve held his tongue and taken the “L.” The passenger NEVER has an obligation to help the cop with his investigation…and as you saw later in the video, the second Trooper that arrived later had no trouble talking to Brett… Attitude is everything. You just don’t make accusations when you’re trying to acquire information from the participants involved…

Not only that .... once he found out that the other guy (who stood for his rights) had been driving just before that and they had switched drivers .... he was trying to establish that it was THAT GUY who hit the car. LOL Asking all sorts of BS questions over a scratch on the car and that scratch looked to be WHITE PAINT to me and that trailer was NOT white. Another MAJOR indicator is that, in talking to dispatch, he asked if there was anything coming up for ONLY THAT GUY when they checked the ID. Baby got its feewings hurt!!! Asking non relevant questions like what sort of a build was he going on etc. NUNNAYABIZZNIZZ!!

No, the cop sites an example of someone getting, “murdered," because the guy, (in the back seat), refused to identify. That’s called, ESCALATION. Cops are so bored, they watch way too many police shows. They live for the drama and feeling important. The Fourth Amendment allows all of us to move freely without identifying. If you’re the driver sure, but otherwise, THAY CAN’T ASK! In Nazi Germany this was an intimidation tactic for police to ask for ID. ("Let me see your papers!!!") It’s to have the citizens fear the police and arrest, and discourage decent. In the U.S. this is illegal under the Fourth Amendment. They can’t ask, ever.

I know you've never heard of this term because you are in the bottom of the barrel. That Book (could be excel spreadsheet, a software, or physical) contains license plates, vin numbers, mileage, repair costs, fuel cost, operators names, time on the road and so on. All those information are useful both to operate the business efficiently and to reduce taxes you gonna have to pay.

I am wondering if it even happened, cause when someone tells you they have damage under the dust that is a red flag for me. If it was damaged in the last 20 minutes then there ain't gonna be damage underneath dust.

You never hand your ID over for a law enforment officer to take a photo of it. You have no idea where that could end up. They do not have a lawful right to take a photo of it, so you need to speak up and tell them no.

With the lack of accountability of police to be held responsible for committing crimes, I would have a serious problem with any officer taking a photograph of my identification. The government is starting to hold the private sector responsible for data governance and security in the USA and it seems only reasonable that the government keeps our information secure. What would prevent this officer from selling the identities of these citizens - or what if his phone is hacked? Who is responsible? I’m betting the police will say, ‘Not Us!’.

26k single vehicle. Anything rated over 10,001 lbs being towed needs a CDL A license. Even if the trailer is empty.

@@mikekeaton6067 sir that’s wrong I only been doing trucks for over 20 years and 10001 pounds you do need a dot number but anything under 26k don’t need a cdl otherwise nobody would be able to tow a uhaul or a trailer…for example my ram weighs 10k by your logic as soon as I hook a trailer I’m over 😂 ..lots of things come into play like the trailer sizes and that’s the only way you would need a cdL if the trailer is longer than 40feet you do need a cdl

Unless he puts not for hire he needs a DOT # to cross state lines. Length has nothing to do with it. And I said cdl A for over 10k trailer and over 26k combo. Jesus christ

Photograph of what driver's license? The driver (who was behind the wheel when the accident occurred) lied and said his dog ate it. Then when his name was run his license was suspended and he NEVER had a CDL to begin with!
