Kassem, Very funny video which.. darkened a bit there as it went along, escalating from 'playful', seeing what you could get away with, towards breaking bad level entitlement, with a posible series of petty crimes at the end there. I'm hoping it doesn't add up for you! Haha, Happy to see a new one of these! I also have a few gray hairs now... BTW I know you are a man of utter confidence, and don't need to hear it yourself. But when Jessica Nigri is beginning to espouse on how you helped her out btw. Plz don't cut her off... I think she choked you out, because you interrupted her, preventing her from a chance to give you some roses, and for us from receiving the wholesome and nostalgic content we crave!
When the world needed him the most, he returned Feels just like yesterday that I saw him and Jessica Nigri just starting to get popular, what a chad this dude is
Yo, please make the "California On" series public again. It was a big comfort show for me, I used to rewatch it every year. Have really fond memories of watching your videos back in 2012. So many iconic moments and people. I'll never forget the "guard dog spirit animal guy" and the sir elton john cameo. I get that perhaps you don't identify with the videos anymore, but you shouldn't be ashamed of them. Even if you are no longer that person, they hold a special place in the hearts of thousands and in yours.
@@adaml7156 He explained on Ep 79 - Pajama Pants that it was purely personal and he simply found them cringy and some even offensive. I get it. And yet, true development would be acknowledging all of that but still proudly displaying them. Those videos are gems and many have incredibly wholesome moments.
@@TheDanorte I don't think "true development" would be displaying something you yourself find to be offensive after growing. That would just be defiance in the voice of reason. Why would he willfully put himself in the firing line for literally no other reason than to "proudly display" things he's ashamed of? That makes absolutely no sense.
@@DoobieFerguson Owning your mistakes means rising above the shame of having done them. Not that the videos were mistakes, they just reflected a time we were younger and stupider. What exactly is he risking by showing them? He's a millionaire, he literally doesn't have to work anymore. I stand by what I said. True development is not hiding your past imperfections. A lot of us really miss those videos, a lot of them were incredibly wholesome.
@@DoobieFerguson Your opinion is not a developed one. It's regressive and immature. Why would he wilfully put himself "in the firing line"? Maybe 'cause there's a shit ton of people who want to see them, and making hundreds to thousands to potentially even more people happy (even if briefly) means much more to a mature mind than hiding them because of insecurity over a person he literally is not anymore and has grown past anyway. EDIT: I didn't fully go through all the comments, and I see OP already responded to you with more or less the same sentiment as me. It still baffles me you needed to even be told all that, to be honest, but maybe you'll actually take it in considering it was said twice.
Why did a bunch of comic con interviews just make me reflect upon how much has changed in my life over the past ten years. This was an odd experience, thanks kassem
Kassem is the 🐐 RU-vidr imo. One of those dudes who you just want to be around because of how infectious his energy is. Putting the "RU-vidr" label aside, his comedic timing is just generally in a class with the greatest comics of all time. When I think of how at ease and naturally funny Dave Chapelle is, I also think of Kassem in that same way. Absolute legend. Your videos always, always put a smile on my face and that hasn't changed. Feel lucky to have watched you since the beginning my dude 🙏🏻
ALL THE STARS ARE HERE!!!!! I miss Kassemg, this gives me the warm and tinglies. Brings me back to a place in my life when things were much more simple.
When I saw this in my recommended, I legitimately had to double take and make sure I saw the date/time uploaded right. It said “13 hours ago” and thought it said “13 years ago” at first. I miss your content man! This was great!
G4 got me really into nerd culture back in the day, then Kassem made nerd culture fun a witty. The fact that they came together is awesome, and I couldn't have thought of a better outcome. G4 showed me Akira for the first time, a bunch of Kung-Fu films and Bruce Lee movies. Attack of the Show was amazing
How does Kassem only have 2M subscribers?? He's been on youtube forever and was even on transformers! Which was a cool surprise cuz I've been watching Kassem since 2008 or 2009 I don't remember. I just remember binge watching all the california on videos and would watch his vlogs too from which I discovered shay carl and started watching shaytards for years to come. Glad to know you're still here, kassem. I love you.
Crazy I was literally just thinking about the late 2000s-early 2010s era of RU-vid. Was wondering where Kassem has been! He was a pillar of the platform back then.
Well there was that one girl that kept having meltdowns over reality, Frosk or whatever. They messed up by letting that clown talk and agreeing with her
10:16 would have bee nice for you to stay around at the LAN a bit and cover what we're doing to keep LAN gaming alive. You didn't seem interested in chatting to LAN staff though.
I can't believe this is up, I come back to watch california on from time to time and when you removed them i was devastated. This feels like a gift from the universe. You're one of my favorite Humans Kassem. Been watching since i was 14, I'm now 27 with the same sense of Humor.
i've been waiting for this for so long, and watched a lot of the older videos now I'm so happy to see his return even his jokes are on point Kassem G welcome back,
The Silent Bob Cosplayer is my friend Kevin! He's very active over here on the east coast and is a super talented maker! That's so fun that you see him regularly when you go! He's great! :)
