A one trick pony. That's what Base Jiren is. His light light dash cancel and his backhit are the good things he has. The rest of his kit is pretty mediocre. Were it not for the custom, he'd be pretty mid tbh and that's really due to ki blast cannon and soaring fist. The light light dash cancel has a very sizeable gap to pb exploit unlike a Male Earthling light heavy which is difficult to pb on reaction alone. His backhit is actually really good though because it's taken directly from SSJ4 Gogeta.
