There's no doubt he will be. Of the top 16 RBs in total yardage, Gore and Peterson are current, Edgerrin James isn't in yet, and the other 13 are. The only "downside" to his HoF argument is with 77 rushing TDs, he's tied for 14th among those Top 16 with Tony Dorsett, ahead of only Thurman Thomas. Everyone else who is in the HoF already besides those two has at least 90 rushing TDs. Gore does, however have 18 receiving TDs, which is the fourth most of those top sixteen rushers (Faulk 36, Marcus Allen, 21, Jim Brown 20). He's a Hall of Famer no doubt--the only question is if he's getting in his first year of eligibility.

Yes Frank does take some hits but he's mostly diving to the ground for the extra yard to avoid head on collisions is what I saw. He's good at getting low and avoiding hard hits which is why I believe he was never a true tank and it's helped him preserve his career this long.

That’s the thing tho, his running style makes it so that he doesn’t take big hits very often. He runs so low to the ground, usually they end up being glancing blows that he bounces off of. Hence why he’s been so durable over a long period of time. I’m a Niners fan fwiw, so I’ve watched frank for a while now. He’s one of my fav players ever actually.
